I'll place the acronym choices here as well: BYGLE or RFLATFD There is no deadline just yet. I'm hoping the upgrade will happen around the time I get acceptable clues off everyone. To the newcomers, have a read-through of the rules. The basics are that you cannot use character names and nicknames but you can reference these indirectly. You need to avoid deliberately misleading references or references that can be equally valid for a different character. Character heritage and place names I will deal with on a case-by-case basis but I would prefer any such references to be indirect (but by all means make your plea to me to allow it). I can still accept more players up until the first set of clues are published. It sounds like we'll lose this thread entirely when the upgrade happens but it should be fine. Will we lose our PM threads as well? Does anyone know? here is what i found out from Ran about PMs "They would be... However, due to yet more unforseen difficulties, we've scrapped it again and will be doing a fresh upgrade. All content to the present time, and to the time of the new backup -- in about one hour -- will be imported to the updated server (*knock on wood*), but all content between now and the opening of that forum (hopefully within a week *knock on wood again*) will be lost. From reading accounts on Invision's customer forum, a lot of people spent a month between backing up and upgrading, and basically just considered the month lost a wash. I simply can't see deliberately dumping that much content, though, hence this rather fitful and maddening upgrade process. Please make sure you back up all the excellent clues I'm receiving as I'm away from my computer until late Monday night so don't have access to my acrophilia document to copy them to. I may not be able to start the game for a week yet unfortunately but that does mean I can still accept players to go into a separate league for clue guessing only if there is any interest. Our new winner is Julia H. Congratulations!It was an incredibly close run race in the end. Julia managed to correct her one wrong answer extremely close to the deadline and takes the spoils having got every answer correct in all three rounds. The brilliant Night'sQueen, who consistently worked things out at an impressive pace was one answer away from winning the game.The excellent trio of newcomers is rounded off by Stonehearted Snake, who kept hold of 3rd place after another strong round.Congratulations too to Fragile Bird for being the only player to manage a perfect score in Round Three, climbing up the table to joint 4th in the process alongside the always brilliant a shadow and another impressive newcomer in She Who Must Be Obeyed.
