karaddin Posted November 15, 2015 Share Posted November 15, 2015 And LoL is simplified from dota but hots is weird, on the direct level it's simplified but there are new components to it like having actual map variation, jungling being more important, having a hero soaking xp in a lane to give the whole team xp. The game just didn't feel as deep, or as balanced, and the roles aren't as well defined. But to each their own. Nah, HOTS changes alot of standard MOBA silliness that exists because of the weird quirks of the Warcraft 3 engine by considering whether it's actually good or fun. It's not simplified, it's simply changing the type of strategies you need to imploy. And it's got fine balance.
