If he had healed a 12th, somebody in the resulting reality would be asking why he didn't heal a 13th. If he had taught them about hygiene, somebody would be asking why he didn't also teach them about antibiotics.Indeed, which is why it seems to me BR's question was much broader by implication than it was explicitly.
