Sansa Theory-Crafting for Season 6 (MAJOR SPOILERS)

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen!

I am back with another theory on the show that I have found quite interesting regarding Sansa Stark. This theory had been crafted mainly because I have been watching some of her scenes on the internet and found some lines that might tie into each other and mean something in the upcoming season! Here we go!

In Season 4, when Robin Arryn comes to talk to Sansa while she is building her snow version of Winterfell, he asks her why Winterfell has no moon door and what they do with their bad people and criminals. Sansa responds that girls don't take part in that kind of stuff in the North, which is the line that sparked my interest. Mind you that, in the same scene, she mentions that she will probably never return to Winterfell. Now, as we know, Sansa has returned to her home and then subsequently had to escape from it.

Here is what I think: Sansa and Theon will run into Brienne & Podrick, the latter two escorting former to a safe castle nearby, perhaps being Last Hearth. There, she will be reunited with Rickon and meet all the lords and ladies who still hold the Starks near and close to their hearts. After seeing that Rickon, being a young boy, might be a little too unruly and inexperienced to rule, I believe they will name Sansa Queen in The North! Jon will meet up with her, revived and breathing life again, and they will face off against the Boltons Queen Elizabeth-style! This is where I think the S4 line will come in. The Starks will triumph, with (perhaps) the death of Rickon really sealing the deal. Sansa will execute both Ramsay and Roose, perhaps giving an emotional speech about their betrayal of House Stark! With this outcome, this will show that Justice is how they deal with things in the North, looking even the evilest of men in the eye before giving them a swift end!

And there you have it! I hope you all enjoyed my little S6 Theory! Leave comments below and tell me what you think!;)

I like this theory and it would be nice if it happened this way. When season 5 first ended, I thought maybe Sansa would take on a modified LSH role, the way she took on a modified Jeyne Poole role. I'd like to think that after all the horror she went through that she will rise to a position of power, not cruelty.

To reference Cersei's Magy the Frog prophecy, I have always wanted the younger, more beautiful queen to be Sansa rather than Margaery.

Having a Queen in the North backed by Jon Snow, who is all-but-confirmed to be a secret Targ will make Dany's eventual arrival to Westeros a lot more interesting than it would be if Lannister lackeys were still Wardens.

I can see Sansa being declared Queen in the North and I do believe both Ramsay and Roose will get what's coming to them, but I have a feeling that Ramsay will end up killing Roose and Fat Walda himself because he's (a) a sociopath, and (b) jealous of the heir-to-be. Ramsay will probably die in battle at Jon's hands, but I certainly wouldn't object to Sansa or Theon killing him.

The northerners will never declare Sansa Queen of the North, because she is already married to Ramsay Bolton and consummated their marriage. If she is Queen of the North, then that would make Ramsay King in the North, and there is no freaking way the North wants Bolton for their king, especially a maniac like Ramsay.

Since there is no mention of Robb's will in the show, before the Bastard Bowl I assume Rickon Stark, as new King in the North and heir to Robb, will legitimize Jon into Stark. Unfortunately, Rickon will not survive the battle and get killed, probably by Ramsay's hand, which will storywise clear the way for Jon Stark, a legitimized son of Lord Eddard Stark and half-brother to King Robb Stark, become Lord of Winterfell and new King in the North.

There is no way northerners will support Sansa over Jon after Rickon's death, because she already had misfortune of marrying to a Lannister first, then to a Bolton. Plus, Jon would have lead Stark coalition into battle against hated Boltons and won the fight, which will win him massive support from the lords of the North. And Jon is legitimized Stark and OLDER brother of Sansa who became Lord Commander of Night's Watch, the organization northerners hold at a high esteem unlike South, at a very young age, which speaks volumes to his leadership.

In a patriarchal world of Westeros, if there is choice to be made between Jon and Sansa, the North will not spend a lot of time hurting their brains about choosing a new Stark heir. Winter is almost upon them, and Jon is the only one who can lead them through it. I think after Boltons are destroyed and Jon rallies northern lords and wildlings together, he will go not south like Robb Stark, but north to defend against White Walker invasion, which will probably happen by very end of episode 10. By that time Night's Watch might be destroyed and the Wall would collapse.

As much as I love Sansa, I think she will leave Winterfell south with Littlefinger and Vale armies. Now that their home is secure, her husband Ramsay is dead and Jon is Lord of Winterfell, she will decide to help Jon's cause by going on a diplomatic mission south and gather more allies for House Stark, especially with King's Landing and Lannisters losing their power. She will start with war-torn Riverlands and try to get river lords back to Stark cause since she is half-Tully, especially with Vale backing her. I think season 7 will be her political game with Littlefinger and her eventual "slaying of a giant".

All in all, very excited for the North stroyline. I also hope Dany's Stallion that Mounts the Wolrd prophecy also comes true and she starts conquering Essos with her Dothraki horde Genghis Khan style and start towards Westeros.

Rather odd if the show wants her to be queen for them to have her marry a Bolton and have the marriage so clearly consummated. Seems like the opposite of setting her up to be queen.

I agree with this. However, if they milk her show stupidity more by having her GLADLY go back to Littlefinger's side so he can prey upon her again, all the while he is plotting to ruin the newly discovered family she thought she lost, then let her die by sacrificing herself in some way next season in order to secure Stark Victory. Being wife and potential Baby Momma to Ramsay Bolton was not the way to go.

I don't believe that Sansa will GLADLY go back to Littlefinger, in fact, I could see her becoming very angry and betrayed by LF for giving her to a monster like Ramsay.

She also realizes that the North just had a civil war which put her family back in power, but House Stark is weak after Robb's war and this overthrowing of Boltons. Putting House Stark back at Winterfell is not what the crown and Lannister regime wants, so they need allies south of the Neck to strengthen their positions. That is mainly why Sansa will go willingly with Littlefinger even after everything he has put her through with Ramsay.

I think that she will still leave Winterfell with Littlefinger to go south, but this time around, she will be more cautious of his plans and eventually plot his downfall.

I am not sure if Sansa even survives Season 6. I think one of her kin or her, herself will be dead. The only 2 or 3 I think that are a safe be to be alive at the end of S 6 are Jon, Bran and Arya. Benjen, Rickon and Sansa are most likely going to die. Benjen may not be back at all but I think Rickon or Sansa are gonners. She may become Lady Stoneheart, that is still possible but with Sansa, all bets are off after Season 5.

While I share hope for Sansa to have a much better life and more agency, so long as Rickon is alive, known and where he can be seen, the Northeners will never declare Sansa Queen in the North.

I agree. Sansa will not be QitN as long as Rickon is alive.

But he might not be alive for long.

I think LF will betray Rickon. He is very likely to do this because his power grab via Sansa depends on Rickon being dead...which he thought he already was. So he would tell Ramsay where to find Rickon.

I think Rickon and Osha are likely to be the ones Ramsay "displays" flayed during the big Northern battle.

With Rickon's death the North will be divided. Some may know of Robb's will and back Jon. Others will back Sansa because she is the legit daughter of Ned and Jon is not (his parentage may not be known yet, or Jon may not tell everyone). To avoid conflict, Sansa and Jon will come to some kind of agreement which may or may not involve marriage.

I have said it before, a lot of the Northern storyline hinges on how smart or dumb the writers make Sansa going forward. She should realize that Littlefinger is a direct threat to her baby brothers just as much as the Boltons are and also that Littlefinger is just as much the architect of her suffering at the hands of Ramsay. However, I fear that in the upcoming battle, Vale forces will be the deciding factor and she may get one shot at telling the truth to the Vale Lords in order to pretect herself and her family from Littlefinger's ambitions before he strikes at them. I am not confident in the bolded.

Because he is Lord Protector of the Vale, he has real power over them, unlike Sansa. Plus I suspect for season 7 LF will take Sansa to Riverlands, more specifically, Harrenhal, but I have no proof of that.

I'm not sure I agree with the consensus that LF would be against a Jon/Rickon held Winterfell.

What he wants are reliable allies - to recreate the North/Riverlands/Vale force to gain control.

If he believes he has that - especially with Rickon maybe less so with a powerful Jon - then I don't see why he'll continue to plot in the North and not move on to the vacent Crownlands/Riverlands

Because he doesn't just want allies. That is a very flawed assumption. He wants IT ALL. Sansa is his key to power in the North as long as he thinks she will do what he wants, and you must surely realize by now that he plans to marry her, eventually, after first using her to accumulate power. Being married to the last Stark and no doubt in his plan the last Tully, and therefore ruling the North (as well as the Vale and possibly the Riverlands) is a VERY different thing from having an ally.

I don't doubt your view on his plans for Sansa and himself and wanting it all. But any player - and he is an experienced and big player - knows you can't rule the whole seven kingdoms without allies.

Or at least people he can trust to rule in regions he's left.

Plus if he wants to rule North/Riverlands/Vale surely best option is to marry Sansa to Sweet Robin and stand over them leaving himself to marry into the crowlands/Dorne/Reach?

That's not how it works. Power resides where people believe it resides. All LF has got is a scrap of paper/empty title. He only has power if his bannermen are willing to fight for him - and they have shown they would prefer Sansa to him. LF has no way of compelling their obedience, as his ADWD Vale machinations show only too clearly.

Rickon will be declared King in the North. Jon who recenlty has been legitmized by Rickon  will rally the Northerners and the wildlings and defeat House Bolton by killing Ramsay , i think Roose escapes. And i think Tormund and Pod will die by Ramsays hand.

After taking Winterfell. Sansa and LF will ride south with the Vale army to liberate Riverlands from House Frey. And i think they will come just in time to participate in a second red wedding , only this time Walder Frey is the victim. This is S7 material .

While Jon will stay in the North preparing to fight the WW who are coming south after the Wall falls. And i also think Brienne will give Jon Oathkeeper as it once was a part of Ned sword , and that sword belongs to a Stark. I dunno about Longclaw , maybe Jon returns it to its rightful owners the Mormonts.
