Ran
We have upgraded the forum to the latest version of the Invision software. This should fix some errors we were having -- apparently it fixes people's profiles not working -- and should bring improvements to the editor. However, it brought with it some skin changes, so some odds and ends may look a bit odd. Once we track them all down and get them fixed, things should improve on that end. The most noticeable change with this update is the fact that the new content search has been changed to Unread Content, and it presents a stream of content. You can easily edit just what the stream presents to you -- for example, content in the last week that you've not read but which you've participated in. We understand it will take a bit of getting used to, as it's quite different to what we've had the last few years, but we think users will adapt. Ran
For those having issues with things like posting boxes or the toolbar in the editor, one thing you should do is clear your browser's cache. You can find instructions to do this for a wide variety of browsers at http://www.refreshyourcache.com/en/home/
Ran
We have upgraded the forum's MySQL database version, and redistributed how we use server resources, in an attempt to improve speed under high traffic (aka Season 6). We're not quite done with the tweaks, and it's possible that there will be problems presenting themselves we did not forsee. Please feel free to indicate any odd, new issues -- particularly if you had difficulty logging in, which can be a problem with our caching system -- in the Help forum. Sparks
Just now, Ran said: Please feel free to indicate any odd, new issues -- particularly if you had difficulty logging in, which can be a problem with our caching system -- in the Help forum. Just to spare the some headache, only report if you have difficulty logging in after Ran's post was made. There's already been a fix for the login issue prior to that.
