Lady bonehead
Arya (apologies to Gilbert and Sullivan) If ever it should happen that a victim must be found I have a little list, I have a little list Of Westerosi villains who could well be underground And they'd none of them be missed, they'd none of them be missed The Tyrells took care of Joffrey and they went and crowned his brother He isn't on my list but I've a grudge against his mother She may be hard to kill but then I'm quite an optomist And I know she won't be missed, I'm sure she won't be missed. I'm occupied at present but I'm longing for the day, When I can cross the ocean and take care of Walder Frey! I'll stick the dagger in and then I'll give a little twist And I'm sure he won't be missed, I know he'll not be missed I'll murder everyone named Frey or Lannister or Bolton And when I'm done with them I'll go out hunting for the Mountain I've heard he's dead already but he's still upon my list And I know he'll not be missed, I'm sure he'll not be missed I'll kill the Brave Companions and the bloody Bloody Mummers And when they're dead I'll feed them to Nymeria and Summer And those who rape and pillage without mercy or remorse And never stop to pay for what they'd rather take by force But it really doesn't matter who you put upon the List For they'll none of them be missed, they'll none of them be missed
Angel Eyes
The second verse of "You're so vain" by Carly Simon made me think of Sansa's thoughts about Joffrey. Lyrics
The Fattest Leech
It's late and I am... tired, yeah, tired, but I have one for the recipient of the best aunt of the year award, Mizz Lysa Tully. "Hyper Ballad" by Iceland's Finest-> BjorkMusic Link we live on a mountain right at the top there's a beautiful view from the top of the mountain every morning i walk towards the edge and throw little things off like: car-parts, bottles and cutlery (and Sansa's shoes) or whatever i find lying around it's become a habit a way to start the day i go through this before you wake up so i can feel happier to be safe up here with you it's real early morning no-one is awake i'm back at my cliff still throwing things off i listen to the sounds they make on their way down i follow with my eyes 'til they crashimagine what my body would sound like slamming against those rocksand when it lands will my eyes be closed or open? i'll go through all this before you wake up so i can feel happier to be safe up here with you

Lucius Lovejoy
Trance music, which is the highest form of electronic music that has a lot in common with classical music, is usually my answer for anything about songs. While there are plenty of progressive trance instrumentals that capture the tone and spirit of the books, there is a vocal song called "Iselilja" by The Blizzard feat. Gaate that reminds me of the story. The song is in Norwegian, but translated it is about man who asks for the king's daughter's hand in marriage and is rebuffed, then must fight off many men to prove his worth. Both the original mix and the remix are dope AF. (Original mix) (Sunn Jelie & The Blizzard Remix) Also there is always the Armin van Buuren Remix of the HBO theme song by Ramin Djawadi, which is uplifting trance. Traverys
Regina Spektor -- Us I always think of the Stark Crypts at the bridge of the song. Specifically Rickard, Brandon, and Lyanna: Quote They made a statue of us They made a statue of us The tourists come and stare at us The sculptor's marble sends regards They made a statue of us They made a statue of us Our noses have begun to rust The chorus is befitting of Westeros as well: Quote We're living in a den of thieves

sweetsunray
An oldie for Dany Paint it Black by the Rolling Stones Quote I see a red door and I want it painted black No colours anymore, I want them to turn black I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothesI have to turn my head until my darkness goes [If have to look back] I see a line of cars and they're all painted black [a funeral] With flowers and my love, both never to come back [dead love] I see people turn their heads and quickly look away Like a newborn baby, it just happens everyday [rebirth, loss of child] I look inside myself and see my heart is blackI see my red door and must have it painted black Maybe then I'll fade away and not have to face the facts [If I have to look back] It's not easy facing up when your whole world is black [If I have to look back] No more will my green sea go turn a deeper blue [funeral in the green sea] I could not foresee this thing happening to you [not expecting death] If I look hard enough into the setting sun [looking west, Westeros, funeral at sunset]My love will laugh with me before the morning comes [reunion with lost love before the Dawn] I see a red door and I want it painted black No colours anymore, I want them to turn black I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothesI have to turn my head until my darkness goes I wanna see it painted, painted blackBlack as night, black as coal [Drogon, Long Night, Burning everything to ashes] I wanna see the sun blotted out from the sky [Long Night] I wanna see it painted, painted, painted, painted black Yeah (Keith Richards, Mick Jagger) Originally published on the album Aftermath, but I suspect that George has the compilation album Hot Rocks

The Knight of Flours
"It's Grim up North" by the KLF While the lyrics just name northern towns in England (apart from the chorus refrain of 'it's grim up north') the first word in the song is 'Bolton'. Made me think they could easily be replaced by place or house names in the Westerosi North.

How about Ring of Fire by Johnny Cash? It's all about love destroying by burning everything, which seems to be the tragic message of the whole story. "When hearts like ours meet" make me think of the burning heart of the red god.
