lyannabowery Posted April 12, 2016 Share Posted April 12, 2016 I'm a long-time lurker of these forums, but I've never posted. So I hope this doesn't seem self-promotional! My band is about to release a concept album inspired by ASoIaF/GoT on April 24th, and I really just want to talk to other fans about it! It's called SEVEN and is comprised of seven songs from different characters' POVs- we're a glam/punk/powerpop band but the album employs a few different genres. We're also doing a release show/party in Brooklyn on April 23 if anybody lives in the area! The venue The Way Station (a Doctor Who themed bar) is doing a whole GoT night with trivia, costumes, and other geeky bands. There's a bunch more info on our website if you're interested: http://www.manimals.band I attempted to write these with tons of literary references (and a few show ones), but in a way that could also work totally out-of-context, because I focused on the more universal themes and emotions found in these characters' arcs.
