desire
Do our dear friends the undead as seen in the books/show act as a hive mind? Now we have Sand Kings to compare this to a sense.. and after all that debate with sci-fi v.s fantasy with Dani.. How do the others control the wights since there is well more then one other but there is also the Nights King so does all control come from him? chrisdaw
Yeah I think so. Bloodraven seems to control multiple ravens at the same time, and I believe he did the same to rats when KL was cleared of rats during the Spring Sickness. Varamyr had multiple animals on lockdown, yet they hated him so if they were totally free of him when he wasn't specifically inside them they should have destroyed him. A passive level of control, a kind of cruise control, I think is the most plausible explanation for what we've seen, and that the wights labor under the control of the Others in this manner. House Cambodia
I'm reading GRRM's 1000 Worlds stories and see that he's obsessed with hive minds. That's what the 'weirnet' is, and I strongly suspect the Others, if created by the Children, have hive mind powers to control the wights.
