The Killer Snark
The preferred result really, for the sake of entertainment in the final group games. Fascinating game. Pity it didn't have a few goals.
mormont
There was nothing fascinating about that game. Germany have a lot of work to do. Great result for NI, though.
3CityApache
I did like it a lot. Germany was better (of courze!), but admittedly Poland had much clearer chances and should score at least two goals, if it wasn't Milik's nightmare day. john
Why wasn't Kapustka on from the start? It's not like he had a bad game the first time out. Anyway, what a result for the Norn Iron. We even brought our weather! Marred by the fact another fan died in the stadium. Black armbands two games in a row, that's all sorts of fucked up. Iskaral Pust
Boring and sterile again by Germany. Boateng and Lewandowski were the best players by some distance and Germany's attack looks toothless. Too many sideways passes and content with possession far from goal. I think the main criticism has to be for the coach who has taken the path of least resistance for a couple of years and stuck with a 4-6-0 team of familiar faces and similar style to dominate games, picking up enough goals from odd moments, but no willingness to take on the difficult change to develop a new attack. Not to pick on Milik but if those chances fell to Mueller he would have scored both without blinking. Mueller does surprisingly little in a game but sometimes remaining composed near goal is invaluable.
Iskaral Pust
England became another team rewarded late for making all the attacking initiative. Poor in the first half -- Sterling and Kane look less use than a third and fourth bollock respectively, and Alli looks no better than Milner and unworthy of a #10 role -- with only Lallana showing any dangerous/creative movement. Much improved in the second half by Sturridge taking the initiative again and again. His shooting was poor until his goal but he made things happen for them. Vardy did little other than tuck away the chance that fell to him four yards from goal, but even so looks much better than Kane. Kyle Walker deserves a mention as the prime attacking outlet even though none of his crosses created any dangerous chances. Lallana creates space for him to do it, which should be pointed out to Sterling. Joe Hart is very lucky that the attack improved so much.

polishgenius
So Ukraine are the first team out, right? The only team they can equal on points now is Northern Ireland and head-to-head is the first decider.
mormont
Yeah, they're out. Bit embarrassing, in a tournament with the likes of Northern Ireland, Iceland, and Albania.

mormont
Here's an idea. Why don't we just talk about the football? I get that people don't necessarily mean any harm but it is not very welcoming to female fans to have people creepily salivating over random girls in the crowd. And yes, I know the TV guys pick them out on purpose. If you happen to think it's harmless, fine, but do it somewhere else.
Raja
Yikes you guys, completely agree with Mormont here. How good has Ramsey been today? Wales putting in at excellent performance. Russia rather poor though
