Stark Family Reunion?

Recommended Posts

Both Bran and Arya are headed home. Will they make it there before the credits roll? It seems to me the show teleporter could get them there in time.

I could see the final shot being Arya or Bran makong their way to the WF gates.

Side note: Have any of their family members remains made it back on the show? Ned? Robb? Cat?

this is something i always wonder with every character in the show, but how much does Arya know about what has happened?  you'd have to think Bran knows little to nothing since he's beyond the wall and has been traveling by himself for quite some time (although he is the all seeing 3ER so maybe I'm wrong).  I wonder if Arya has heard anything about the Boltons controlling Winterfell and about the battle that just happened.  I say this because if she thinks the Boltons are still there, I don't think she would be heading to Winterfell - and same goes for Bran.  They may be heading elsewhere.

In Braavos she likely heard nothing, but once in Westeros I would think the Battle of the Bastards would be widespread news. The combatants cover a wide range of area, especially since the Vale got involved.

agreed... so, would her first order of business be to seek some revenge?  or hightail it home?  maybe a little of both?

I think Bran just found out about the red wedding from the matrix download in Ep 5 and 6. So he probably has no idea. But he's probably heading to the wall.

Bran's story line for me has always been long and extremely drawn out for me (in both the books and show).  The only thing I really care about Bran doing is possibly revealing Jon's real identity.  Other than that I really don't care.

Arya's story is a lot funner read for me.  Hers used to be arguably the best on the show for me also, until episode 8 where they just flat out effed that up.  I am still curious as to what she will do when she gets back to Westeros and who she hooks up with.  I really want to see her and the hound hook up for at least one more kill together so he knows that her skills are growing.  I think it is apparent that the show gave her the ability to change her face and The Hound would find that extremely cool.  I would also like to see a scene where they might be questioning somebody together and Arya is just straight out, "He is lying."  Then it turns out to be true.

If she somehow heard news of the opportunity presented by a large Frey gathering and she had time to get there, I wouldn't rule out her making an appearance. The more realistic scenario would be going to Winterfell tho', possibly by way of the Manderlys.

Jon's line about putting Rickon next to their father seems to indicate Ned's bones made it back to Winterfell. To Robb and Cat's remains, I highly doubt the Freys were inclined to return them. Robb's body was shown to be mutilated for example.

With the way they travel on the show, I can see Arya travelling from Braavo to Winterfell in the same amount of time it takes Bran to get there from just north of the Wall.

And Brienne will still be only half way back to Winterfell from the Riverlands.

With other characters ie:Littlefinger, Brienne, the travel time does gets laughable. But with Arya we don't actually have any point of reference timewise for what happens to her and when. Her story has been isolated. So for all we know, she could have killed the Waif several weeks or more before the Battle of the Bastards even occurred. It's conceivable she could already have been in Westeros by the time it went down. In the scope of the show, she could literally show up anywhere at any time right now. My biggest question with Arya is whether or not Jaqen came with her to Westeros.... a boy hopes so...

Bran and Meera will head back to Winterfell through Castle Black. I am sure once Lord Commander Edd finds out who they are he will tell them that Jon has retaken Winterfell with Sansa and have them escorted there. Then send a raven to Jon letting him know so Jon sends men to meet them halfway.

Arya (Depending on if she frees her uncle and burns the Twins to the ground) I think will be looking for revenge and hear that Jon and Sansa are in Winterfell and switches plans. She has grown pragmatic after all. On her way North she hooks back up with the Hound who is going north anyway and she meets up with Melissandre. I suspect a Stark reunion next season. All the Stark kids who left are now returning via the kings road which they all left on. Remember Jon, Sansa and Arya all left on the same day but in different directions. There is a line in the books that Jon tells Arya: Different roads lead to the same castle.
