1) I had that problem a few days ago. The answer? That line was waaaay to long. The line today was much more agreeable.

2) If you talk to state LA collections again, can you tell them I'm leaving them? Say it's not them, it's me (It's them). I'd tell them myself next year when I do my taxes, but I'm not sure what the best way is to break up with a state. Mail them poo maybe?

MAKE SURE YOU CHANGE YOUR LICENSE OR THEY WILL COME FOR YOU!

Is this a thread about being drunk in general or what you're drinking specifically?

Because I made a fairly kick ass tuna steak in a mustard sauce with a side of brussels sprouts that deserved better than the wine I drank with it.  But said bottle was given to me and was opened already, so file it under The Things I Do for (Liver) Hate.

As another aside, going to watch my UConn Huskies beat hockey power house Maine Black Bears on a last minute field goal did next to nothing for abating my alcoholism.

And further, having finished the wine and having just a bit of cream left I decided on making a White Russian, using the remains of my ex's Tito's vodka that's been sitting in my freezer for about 18 months.  Needed some milk to bring the vodka taste down to bearable but it's full steam ahead now.

Beyond all that, I shut off the ice maker in my freezer because the spiral metal thingy that rotates to push the ice down the chutey was corroding and having a negative taste impact.  So I've been putting about an inch of water into a few pint glasses and throwing them in the freezer.  So just before the white Russian's ice released from the bottom of the glass there was a really interesting pattern of striations along the edges of the ice where the consumable anti-freeze had made its way down.

(And not being a geologist, I'm about 100% sure this is the first time I've ever used the word striation.)

To drunk, or not to drunk, that is the question:

Whether ‘tis Soberer in the mind to suffer

The Waters and Juices of outrageous Fountain

Or to take Shots against a Sea of troubles,

And by drinking forget them. To awake, to sober—

No more; and by a sober, to say we end

The Headache, and the thousand Natural shots

That flesh is heir to? ‘Tis an inebriation

Devoutly to be wished. To awake, to sober,

To sober—perchance to remember: aye, there’s the rum,

For in that sober of awake what memories may come,

When we have shuffled off this drunken coil,

Must give us pause.

-Compliments to Billy

Holy Shit! What a small friggin world. Tonight we had a going away for someone headed to Afghanistan. And at the party I met someone who graduated from the same highschool as me a year behind. And he was deployed to Afghanistan a couple years before I was. We knew the same teachers and lived in the same area. Crazy.

Fuck this piece of shit election, I need more alcohol.

God damnit if Trump wins, there won't be enough alcohol in the world.

Right there with you. Though it does seem like this $45 bottle of whiskey will at least get me through the night.

Not really worried about tonight anymore. Worried about tomorrow now.

I had to mix an energy drink into my gin and tonic at around 9 (eastern) to stay up, had a long day at that point.  Now can't sleep, have to continue drinking whiskey until I do.  Refuse to break out the 20-year single malt for such a situation.

My drunk is sadly sober. I just don't get all that drunk, regardless of volume, unless I haven't eaten and ~. I get hangovers regardless, though. It's a shit deal.

Funnily enough I have been able to consume a fair bit before inebriation, though I haven't drank like that in a year so I could be a bit lighter on that scale, but my hangovers are usually no big deal. I only really drink once every few months and its getting to be around that time again.

I've avoided the bottle for the past few days though because I wanted to sober for my reactions to the politics in the world. Well now it comes down to "fuck that noise". I have two bottles that are near empty. Generic rum and Forty Creek whisky. One or both is getting finished off tonight, the only question being is what should go first.

So if I'm playing cards and someone says " Now that bitch Hillary can finally go to prison" how far do I push the situation? As far as possible until I kicked out the casino? Just ignore the comment and let the guy continue spewing that shit?

Well I went for the happy medium. Told him, " yep, nothing's ever home wrong after people started jailing political opponents" which kinda shut him up. Got a lot of nasty stares from the table until I left though.

LL so where were you at a casino anyways. At least where there would be trump supporters talking loudly. Oh wait it says that you live in Louisiana. That would explain it. Where i live the loudest people seem to be supporting trump even though it seems like most of us are against him.
