Kajmakk
I gave it 10. Alongside Battle of Bastards and probably Home it's the best episode this season. Best moments were of course explosion of the sept of Baelor, Frey Pies and Dany's sailing to Westeros (finally!!) But the best two moments for me in this episode (and season overall other than Jon's ressurection) was rest of Tower of Joy sequence and Jon's coronation. It was just amazing mix of emotions for me. During ToJ I cried a little (just a little) and Jon's coronation gave me epic goosemups
Jon and Dany Targaryen
One of my favorite episodes thus far. Last two were epic!

During ToJ I cried a little (just a little) and Jon's coronation gave me epic goosemups I thought it was so carefully put together and I really felt the tragic ending of Lyanna's life and the important role she gave her brother in protecting her son. Even though we didn't know the young characters too well, it was very dramatic and touching. It gave me tears. The music that set in as we looked into Jon's awakened new eyes (I see a sadness, wisdom, peace, and sympathy that he has in his eyes ever since resurrection and this was seen as times such as with the red woman and here) was another really well put together scene. Jon and Dany Targaryen
You also got to love the look on Jaime's face as he watches his sister get the crown. It seems whenever he leaves, she creates a disaster out of things. "Long may she reign" and then we see the thousand ships headed for King's Landing. Genius. KingInTheBay
The music made me want to give it an 11. Best original song for a tv show ever.
JonSnow4President
After giving a shownly friend an hour long explanation for why Jon Snow is not Robert and Lyanna's son, I'm becoming more and more annoyed with this episode. The only shownly I've known that knew Jon was Rhaegar's child was the one who asked me to spoil it for him 2 years ago. I've gotten a couple mad kings and a couple Roberts, but holy hell, how do you do that poorly? And there is no argument they're trying to keep it a secret, since HBO released an infographic including the lineage.
dbunting
Gave it a 9, rounded up, probably closer to an 8 though. Had to round up since we got the TOJ scene, Freys dying, and Dany heading to Westeros finally. KL - Lost a lot of people in that BBQ! Little sloppiness in having Lancel chasing that little bird, there was no real reason for him to do it. Nice to see the high sparrow realize at the last second that he messed up. IMO Cersei knew Tommen would kill himself, hence the black "mourning" outfit being put on as it all played out. I think she just knew she couldn't let him go there and kill him with the others. Strange that she chose Qyburn as her hand of the Queen. Not something that makes a lot of sense, but then again neither does she. So is this the beginning of Jaime's long lost redemption arc and the break from Cersei? Mereen/Dorne - Saw a little mop and closing of story lines down there. Knew Vary's was heading to Dorne, only thing that made sense. The time line was a little funky since Olena was there and in mourning for her loss already. That time jump got me a little. So Dany now has her army of Dothraki, Unsullied, some Iron Born, dragons, Dorne and the Tyrells all heading to Westeros finally. Have to say it was nice to get that scene finally, I just wish the show would stop with the "posing" scenes. Tired of seeing the characters wistfully looking into the distance. The Twins - I mostly liked the scenes here, I liked Jaime putting it to Lord Frey and reminding him how little the Freys have actually done. I also wish they had put a little more into the Frey pies part. Seemed like an afterthought, then Arya killed him finally, and again posed for a look into the distance. Nice to see Arya back in the action again. The North/TOJ - Finally got the reveal and R+L=J confirmation. I have quite a few show watcher only friends and they all picked up that it was Jon that was handed to Ned and that Rheagar was the father. I just wish they hadn't kept his name a quiet whisper, but I assume that they want Bran to tell Jon himself next season when he reveals the truth to him in person. I liked Little Lady Mormounts speech, the girl pulled it off pretty well. Sansa seriously needs to have a talk to Jon about LF and his role in everything. LF needs to die soon. Valhalla Morghulis
Just like 8, 9, 10 of season 5, the last two of 6 have been very strong. The KL beginning with a scheming Cersei renouncing the devil Corleone-style was excellent. Tommen jumping was a surprise but we all know the prophesy including Cersei and that he had to die. Margaery was a shock and a shame, an interesting Sirenic character and well played by Nathalie Dormer. The King in the North deference harkened nicely back to Rob in 1, and the Stark circle, after disparate years apart, is coming complete. Arya took another one pleasingly off her list and it will be interesting to see if she kills Cersei, or will it be Jamie, or even more interestingly Brienne in front of Jamie. Great to see the dragons at full power in the last epis and Dany now on her way home. The TOJ scenes I would have liked 5/6 scenes on throughout the season, including a little of seeing Rhaegar and Robert at the Trident, and I wanted all the dialogue taken verbatim from GRRM. He didn't write much on it but it lives long in our hearts and is the basis of much of the mythology of the show, and to do it full justice I think we needed more of it in the show and possibly stronger more impactful actors too, which is usually one of the great strengths of the show. *Deidre*
Rate it 10/10, probably the last three episodes were the best I've seen on GoT. Everything tied together, and really left me satisfied. Hodor's death was awful, but there were other deaths...not so awful. lol Loved it, and looking forward to what's to come.

TheSeer27
I feel like everyone who thinks this was a great episode is only watching GOT as terror porn and just like seeing people die. Good god this episode was worse than a cartoon. Its baffling how much time the show wastes building up plots and then completely abandoning them. And then the real important storylines get about 30 seconds of airtime. And seriously, can Dave and Dan set a scene that isn't about people talkin about fucking, showing warted cocks, or sticking a finger up a dudes ass? Seriously? But then again these are the same writers who coined the phrase "You want a good girl but you need a bad pussy" so I dont know why my expectations remain high. cylonhybrid
'Teleporting varys'. is not really a flaw. When there was obviously weeks between the scenes when he showed up in Dorne from when Dany set sail i.e. Dornish ships make up some of Danys fleet implying the time difference. Just because it didn't make it obvious by saying '3 months later'. Lancel chasing the little bird was just a component to set up tension in that scene. Might he have succedded and foiled Cersais plot or is it a metaphor about how all the characters in GOTs struggle against the inevitable which is what Cersai will do now as the Mad queen. It seems a lot of the nit picking things are not really valid because fans want all the answers to all storylines, not knowing that it would actually demean what the show is trying to portray in a 1 hour approx time slot. To make the episode exciting, they also need to keep a collection of unexpected things only in the last episode rather than spreading them out, otherwise, the episode loses its potency. Thats why it gets a 10/10 or 9/10 from a lot of people. From The sept explosion, and Megerys death showing that life is unexpected and your life doesn't end when everything is tied up. A theme of JRRM To Tommens suicide and the immediate transition to the next scene belittling the tragedy and artistically emphasizing how little his death means to the course of events for Cersai now because she has become the mad queen. To Freys assassination which needed to be completely unexpected because when is an assassination expected? To the great library chandelier as a nod to the fact that it is a repository of all things which occur in the world of GOTs. To confirmation of Jons lineage which is a nod to the fans. To the King of the North, emphasizing just how horrible the Boltons must have been for everyone to rally around Jon. To Dany leaving for Westeros with her new high garden, dorne alliance. Jumps in time require the fans to have a little imagination because otherwise the episode would lose its momentum. Every art form must have its limitations. Thats why it gets a 9/10 from me. This is a discussion of the 'weaknesses' of the episode. Otherwise I don't know why this is called a discussion thread, rather than just a poll. CaptainTheo
Very late I know, but I'll give this one a 7. That still makes it better than most episodes of the season ('the door' was my favourite). I found it entertaining when I watched it first, but there is too much that does not make sense. The title of this episode would have been PERFECT if, as was the original plan, GRRM had released the book of that name at the same time. Ironically I always thought that the worst-case release date would be June 2016. King's Landing - Very dramatic. I used to like Cersei and she was often sympathetic this season, but this act turns her into the worse person in Westeros (previously Faullaria), committing an act that Jaime stopped the Mad King from doing by killing him. Aside from the High Sparrow, most of the named characters she actually murdered were allies (especially Pycelle and Kevan, it makes no sense her doing what Varys did in the book), and some of them were relatives. Not to mention she directly caused the death of her one remaining child. And how can she be crowned queen? She has no claim and has just blown up the sept. Where are the Tyrell armies? It was also weird to see Margery and Loras get killed because their storylines seemed to be going somewhere, and Mace never really got to do anything at all. I'll miss the High Sparrow, he was the only new character from this and last season that I actually liked. I don't blame him for not realising the danger - how was he to know about the wildfire? I'll also miss Margaery. Loras the character was assassinated in every possible way, especially compared to the books. Bran - pretty underwhelming really. My friend who hasn't read the books did not realise Rhaegar was Jon's father. He thought that the father was Robert. Dorne - Olenna was entertaining as usual and really put the Sand Fakes in their place, but it should have been Doran she was negotiating with. The Twins - the Jaime/Walder banter was alright. Arya tasking out Walder and his kids was the worst part of the episode, as there was no explanation as to how she suddenly teleported here from Braavos or how she magically overwhelmed the guards and killed Walder's sons - and when did Arya learned to cook? This bit was way too rushed. Also it's weird how Arya transforms in this episode from a nice girl who won't kill people she's assigned to kill into a vicious assassin who murders people who aren't even on her hit list (as with Rorge in season 4). Sam/Gilly in Oldtown - yawn. Winterfell - one of the better scenes, though the King in the North seems like deja vu, and unlike Rob, Jon has done nothing to earn it (neither should he be in the line of succession) other than make one blunder after another throughout the season. I would have liked to see more of Littlefinger, he's one of my favourite characters. Dany - a bit anticlimactic how she just dumps Daario. At least she's made it to Westeros. And 3 out of the 6 seasons have now ended with her - can't the showrunners give someone else a turn?
