Uprooting the Rose, D.B. Weiss on Wildfire.

At 0:40 Dan Weiss says that they try to avoid introducing new elements and they "realize" that the wildfire was something they had going on. Do they really get no more insight from G. Martin or does he gives himself credit on something that is most likely book stuff? Maybe he's poorly trying to mislead readers into thinking that this is not book stuff but come on the wildfire is there for a reason.
