Speaking of Martin Campbell I’d definitely be down for that, although I don’t know how much he works these days. He’s no spring chicken, and after Green Lantern his phone probably isn’t ringing much. It felt a bit slight compared to what people were expecting at the time, but with the benefit of hindsight and the films after it, slight has become lean. It's much better than Spectre but tbh I prefer it to Skyfall in a lot of ways too. Skyfall was too indebted to The Dark Knight in ways that made it not always make sense. My problem with Skyfall was that they took the premise of a rebooted Bond... and made him old in the space of one film. Ruined all the in between. Edit: I also thought that Vesper made a much better Tracy Draco type than the Bond Gal from SPECTRE that I don't even remember her name off the top of my head. My favorite example of this is in Diamonds are Forever when Connery slips his ID on the body of the SPECTRE baddie he has just killed and the lady with him pulls the wallet and says “You just killed James Bond!!!” And Connery says “Is that who that was? Realistic is a relative term IMO when it comes to Bond films. Yeah, that’s what I was getting at. The Craig Bond films have been more realistic, relatively speaking, than their predecessors. The gadgets haven’t been cartoonish, and Craig actually looks the part. I always laugh when I see Connery chop some guy and it knocks them out.
