SanSan next season?

'Jon is dead and never coming back'

I have never taken any actors or crew members' word for anything. Any movie or tv show, I just don't pay attention to what they say because it''s all scripted to produce suspense, fear or excitement.

Sophie is one of the biggest culprits when it comes to talking shit with regard to her character.

Kit proved to be an outright liar when he claimed he's done with the show. Don't blame him, he had to sell what PR team told him to.

Where and when do you see that? When they have their heartfelt conversation by the fire? when she gives him a fancy cloak she made? when he compliments her on her dress? when she tells him he is a Stark to her? when he kisses her on the forehead, linger on with his hand on her nexk and looks at her lips? when he makes eye contact with her during the KitN scene? when she apologises twice? when they team up to retake their home? when he tells her he won't let Ramsay touch her again and will protect her? when they smile and laugh in each other's presence?

Jon has smiled more this season than all previous seasons combined. And I mean genuine, big smiles.

This isn't true. And I doubt you've went through the seasons and counted how many times he smiled each season anyway.

I just saw a reunion of two siblings, with good and tense moments this season. No romance. But it's my humble opinion, of course.

As for what Turner says, well, I think that's her take with the character in 6.10. She obviously doesn't know what will happen (she was even asked in the most recent interview if she knew whether she would be paired with LF and said "I don't know"), so, of course, anything that will happen it's up to the writers.

Can Jonsa happen? I've seen more illogical things in the show. But if that ends up happening it won't be for the build up made between these two this season. As for SanSan, despite being very subtle in the show, especially if you have not read the books, it's much more consistent in the show since the first season with a lot of hints, and I think they are going this way, or at least, making them have an emotional reunion.

Exactly. That's a good point. ShowJon doesn't smile frequently, but he has smiled a lot of times with different people in the last seasons.

I think he smiled with Edd too recently.;)

Maybe not combined, but it's a fact he smiled more this season than in any of the previous ones. And all the big smiles happened during his interactions with Sansa.

Are we really talking about bigger smiles as proof that Jon is in love with Sansa and that Sansa will be in love with Jon? (because of his smiles I suppose...)

I was always partial to his smiles with Sam.

And of course, Ygritte...

And Arya, the special one...

Thanks for the pics!!!! It's always nice to remember those good moments^_^

I'm not talking about any big romance, but the lack of the supposed rivalry, hate, jealousy, bitterness etc The way they filmed each Jon and Sansa scene, the way they made them resemble Ned and Cat, even quite a few media outlets picked up on the subtext and the chemistry. Whether intentional or not, it's there.

I forgot to mention that Sansa and Jon also had big arguments, apart from "smiles". Well, I think I mentioned that before, so, apart from having "the biggest" smiles, which I don't think it's true this season, (he smiled a lot in earlier seasons to other people) they had their bad moments too.

and the arguments? they had a couple IIRC

and I think she is a bit jealous of Jon in the final scene as Turner said

So the oldest brother and sister step into dad's and mom's shoes for the sake of the family thing, like a gazillion other stories before. Only in this case, Catelyn wasn't really his mom, he had a difficult time with her. And he had a difficult time with Sansa, too. A whole season filled with mostly difficult times. Like the showrunners said. They don't get along very well. Seems like they are building to something even worse next season.

Good thing Sandor and Arya are heading that way...

Does anybody have the numbers of Jon smiles per episode since season 1 or Jon smiles per season handy. I'd find these assertions about Jon smiles showing Jon/Sansa is a thing a bit more compelling if I actually had the numbers before me.

Arya doesn't mean much to him, so we shouldn't even look at season 1. They dropped that concept.

And by the way, since somebody has evidently intensely studied all this Jon smile data, since season 1, I have just a few questions.

Like, are the smiles per episode auto-correlated in some manner? How about partial correlations. Is there any statistical evidence of a structural shift around season 6. Did somebody do a structural break test perhaps?

Anyone?

Bueller?

We don't know where Arya is going next. I doubt it's North. She still has a few names on her list. And if you take the actors and showrunners' opinions this seriously, then you should believe Arya's ona a path to be a lone ranger and taking a turn for the dark. David and Dan claim fans should be worried about Arya.

If, on the off-chance, they both get there, what do you expect to happen? A big happy 4-way reunion and all is made well and they're one big family with Jon showing off paedophilic tendencies out of the blue? On top of incestuous feelings for the sibling (cousin) he was supposed to be so close to when growing up? They are so not going to tarnish their main hero's character like that.

Good thing they're heading that way? To what end? To stop those two from killing each other or what? Arya and The Hound show up and suddenly Jon and Sansa are all Sansa who? Jon who? Wishful thinking.

If Jon won't start making eyes on Lyanna Mormont he doesn't have much of a chance of being paedophile. Arya is roughly 16 in the show, about two years younger than Sansa. It's not like they are 10 years apart. Show Arya is clearly supposed to be older than Tommen and I didn't hear much about Marg being called paedophile, which makes sense because neither Arya nor Tommen are prepubescent.

It's not discussed much and she was wearing a different face but Arya was actually portrayed as a sexual object twice in the last episode and once it was by Bronn who is one of fan favourites, so I think that in the show we are nearing the phase where her in romantic/sexual situations could happen.

I might be unreasonably optimistic but I have some expectations of Jon/Arya reunion, mainly because I expect it to be so important point for the books that the show will be roughly following the book story instead as pulling it of from whatever place D&D are pulling of their original ideas.
