I averaged out the lengths of the prophesies from the last game and it seemed like 80 was the right number for 8-10 letter acronyms (average 6 characters per word plus punctuation) does that make sense? Yep. Thank you!
Lady Blizzardborn
Might I suggest (if someone else hasn't already) the use of a character counting site? Yeah we can probably all count to 80 just fine, but I'm using this site instead. Any time saver I can find...

Destiel's Child
How's everyone doing? I've had a load of submissions so far and I am so impressed. Not too shabby for a warm up round.
Fragile Bird
I would point out that a 7:00 am deadline for the North Americans is not very fair. It means they have to submit an answer, basically, the night before, while the Europeans still have all morning to work on entries.

Some Europeans have to work - not on the entries but at their workplaces. I'm leaving soon and won't have time to work on my entry any more. By my count that gave us all about 93 hours regardless of which continent we live on.
Destiel's Child
I'm absolutely fine with extending the deadline to the end of today EST. For future deadlines, I shall be sure to make them end of day BST/midday EST. As this was the first round and longer than usual, The deadline was just an attempt to get something up for voting today. I don't think anyone will mind waiting till tomorrow It's all fun and games **just added a few more hours for final revisions

When the closing time is makes absolutely no difference to you one way or the other.

Whining that a deadline is at 7 am EST, also makes the deadline 4 am PST (and an extension of a few hours would put those in the Pacific time zone still at a disadvantage) I am not advocating for a deadline extension. I think that DC's rule that the first to post gets extra points is a good one (maybe extend it to first 3 to post, with bonus points of +4, +2, +1). It gives incentive to the procrastinators. Fragile Bird
Well shit, why don't we just make the deadline one hour after the letters are posted? That'll make the hosts life easier.
