No one knows what it might have been, only that the boy appeared suddenly one morning in the yard as the knights were donning their steel. He walked up to Ser Willem Darry, the master-at-arms and said 'I will require a sword and armour. it seems I must be a warrior.'" I have read up until the end of ADWD but I can't remember if this is ever revealed? Maybe one of you boffins can clarify what he read to make him change so suddenly and so profoundly? Lord Wraith Posted February 3, 2017 Share Posted February 3, 2017 Rhaegar for a time thought he was the Prince that was Promised for a time with Aemon. That was why he would have to be a warrior.
