felice #1 Posted February 10, 2017 This year's NatCon is in Taupo over Queen's Birthday weekend (2-4 June). They've got a draft programme up now.
The Marquis de Leech #2 Posted February 11, 2017 Taupo is going to be an absolute pain in the arse to get to. Why couldn't they just have held it in Wellington again?

It's a different concom, they wanted to hold it somewhere different. *shrug* If you're flying from Dunedin, going via Auckland is probably the most cost-effective option. The Anti-Targ #4 Posted February 13, 2017 It's just a shit place to go in winter regardless, unless you are a skier, and even then somewhere closer to the mountain is better. Not that Wellington is a whole lot better weather-wise, but at least there are more things to do of an evening aside from frequenting fast food places. The other advantage with Wellington is that I wouldn't need to travel. Though I normally do because I go visit mum in Raglan pretty much every QB.
