Baelor Breakspear's Descendants

Recommended Posts

Any descendent of Baelor's could be considered to have a superior claim to Dany, though no one is likely to support him/her. More to the point, such a descendent is impossible. Baelor died in Dunk's trial and both his sons died childless in the same sickness that killed Daeron II

No trueborn descendent of Breakspear survived the Spring Sickness so there's that.

But if there would have been some kind of descendents from Baelor Breakspear, most likely then through a bastard line from one of Baelor's sons, they would actually still be behind Danaerys in the succession because Danaerys is closer in lineage to an actually ruling king while she also has the benefit of being the named heir of Aerys II's last named heir in Viserys.

While tracing descent from Baelor Breakspear is surely a source of prestige, I doubt it would be much more in the current timeline of the setting.

Besides the Impossibility... That would be very hard to prove, Breakspear's line very much favoured the appearance of the Westerosi instead of the Valyrians, 100 years of further mixing? I feel Daenerys would burn anyone to come forward with a claim like that
