Easy Rider is a classic. Great performances from Fonda, Hopper (who also directed), and Nicholson. It also helped usher in one of the best decades for film with the grittier, more unconventional films of the 70’s.

Pal Benkö passed aged 91.

One of the last remanants (other than Spassky) from chess golden age with Tal, Botvinnik and Fischer (before he went full crazy) playing.  I am gonna miss his christmas chess puzzles over at chessbase.

Sad to hear Haig passed as well.  Seems like a guy I woulda enjoyed getting fucked up with.

Crazy how El Camino came out and he died the same day. I guess I won't be calling for vacuum service.
