They're jewellery, not shoes. No use whatsoever, but they can look nice. I hadn't heard of them before either.

Football is the most boring for me. I occasionally watch skiing or skijumping, but that is about it.

I hated all the godawful ball games in school, including basketball. I am not good at handling balls.*

Ah, I see, that makes sense. Still, I hope she helps you a lot in the next few days so you can take a bit of a break.

*I am talking about sports here, people. Get your minds out of the gutter.

Oh, no worries about that. ;)

Ugh I never watch skiing.

 Yeah I really hate the sport kind of ball games too. Even the ones involving a tool, I'm sooooo awful at tennis and I truly have no idea what people enjoy about it. Floorball was always a nightmare at high school and badminton was just a good excuse to get out of the teacher's sight and chat with friends instead of doing actual sports during PE.

yeah she did offer yesterday, which was nice.

Daily Internet surprise.

I just found out about the existence of this.

I have one question ... why?

I mean, are not shoes supposed to protect your soles? What is the use of this?

It's jewelry. Very impractical but very pretty. I have a couple "gold" chain ones and wore them like once or twice. They look good in photos and feel princessy, but they are admittedly really not worth the money.

Whether it was football, basketball, softball, netball, table tennis, badminton, tennis, dodgeball, or whatever...the ball always seemed to end up whacking me in the face during p.e. lessons. I detested such sports and still do.

Speaking of P.E. classes, I remember we were doing athletics once and we were doing javelin throw and one girl managed to crack her own head with the javelin and lapsed into unconsciousness. To this day I'm not quite sure how she managed that :dunno:

Don't worry Bucky, I am sure you are very skilled at handling balls when they are the right kind and you are in the right mood to do so :)

Mind in the gutter? Who me? I'm just talking about juggling of course...

Skiing is very popular here, probably more than where you live?

I have never tried playing tennis. I quite like badminton, but we did not do it all that often and I sucked at it too. So I just occasionally played it on holiday with the valonqar.

Yeah ... If I am going somewhere barefoot, great. I love being barefoot. But if I have something on my feet, then I want it to do its business too. As in, like protect my soles from the heat of the asphalt. It looks very impractical too.

I don't really have any answer that would make sense either, but heh, I'm walking around in dr Martens motorcycle boots. Very little femininity, daintyness or elegance there ;-)

I would spend all my time in Converse all-stars if I could. Sadly they are not that good for when it rains.

As it has been for the last few days. Yaaaay, what a lovely weather. <_<

We only ever did basketball, volleyball, or handball. Football a few times, I think. I especially detested volleyball because the teacher demanded we hit the ball with the insides of our underarms - and that HURTS! I just ended up avoiding participating all around. PE was where the other pupils' teasing was strongest too, so that did not do much good to my self-image, nor did it help make me like sports or want to improve.

I would have liked to do more gymnastics because that was about the only part I had any shot at being mediocrely (is that a word?) good at, but we only did that like once or twice a year.

I have tried juggling in Vienna with a friend. I actually have 4 juggling balls on the shelf here. ;)

*bows* I am here till Thursday.

Gymnastics was my favourite too but gymnastics in P.E. class was like 'run along a bench!' 'forward roll' 'splits!' which  not to sound arrogant but I was doing that when I was 5, I wanted to tumble and do bars and vault like I did in my evening classes. Ugh, P.E. at school was such a joke.

We did trampolining too, which I enjoyed. But again, I was told not to do anything more dangerous than a front somersault, resulting in weeks of boredom for me since I had been able to do so for years. And our school was supposed to specialise in Sports! (Which, they kinda did, if you limit the definition of sport to football and athletics)

I also liked dance in P.E. mostly because our teacher was hilarious in her passion for interpretive dance. She was one of those airy fairy let the music speak through your body types and i was always reduced to fits of giggles when she taught us.

Eta: see, inwas only talking about juggling! What else would I have meant?

I guess it's kinda popular but we don't have the mountains for it, so if you want snow you kinda have to hop over to you or Austria or Slovakia. Which is kinda costly.

Badminton was the "I don't want to play sports today" activity in PE class for us.

It doesn't aim to be practical imo. It just aims to be pretty on your instagram.

Weirdly, my feet always hurt in Converse after walking a long distance. Proper sneakers agree with me more and in the summer I lived in Birkenstocks. The ugliest  but most comfortable summer shoes of the world.

I was good at hockey at school, I found running around a wet field and having the opportunity to hit other girls with a stick quite fun :D.

Do you want a motorcycle to go with them?, I'm banned from going near mine now by order of my fiancée :(.

Eh, I only ever managed to hit my own shinbone with that stick :s

BUT I FINALLY ORDERED ALL THE MAJOR PIECES OF FURNITURE. Decor and additional pieces are not even in sight, but the basics are finally off the list.

That sounds cool! What kinda jobs are you considering? Good luck with the application! And good luck with getting into shape as well! I moved house and I'm suffocating in getting furniture and running errands. (and I'm boring people here with my furniture shopping "adventures" :P )

@First of My Name I'm that happy too, I'm just too snotty and sneezy to jump around in a circle like a communist emoticon :D

@Lord Sidious I've been looking for geeky art online and I found something your baby needs

I was not that good at gymnastics as to be bored in school. I was often bored during P. E., of course, but being too good at gymnastics was certainly not the reason. ;)

We never danced during P. E.

You know perfectly well what. :leer:

Oh, I see where the problem is then. I do not have an instagram (nor any wish to have it). :P

Proper sneakers as in the ones for running and such? I never wear those apart from very casual occasions (like dog walking). Anywhere else ... I just don't like them.

Sounds like early years training to become a Sith Empress. That hockey stick was great practice for your lightsaber skills

@Nymeria well done and good luck with the job applications. It's hell but I'm sure you'll find something.

@RhaenysB yay finally

@lord Sidious I wish I could say yes, but with my diagnosis my license was revoked. Hope you can ride again after your child is born.

@Buckwheat yeh converse are also nice, and I'm familiar with the non water resistance unfortunately.

How is everyone?

I'm currently in the hospital for routine treatment (I'm fine and this treatment is the reason for it). I'm spamming my best friend with memes for the time that I'm here.

Yeah, ones with proper sole. They are really comfortable and I would totally wear the right style to town just running errands or something.

Yeah, I've lived here for almost a month now. As soon as there was a mattress, internet and a kettle. I should have my bed in another month. It will be glorious.

I'm currently waiting for my desk to arrive. And... blowing my nose and drinking tea and overdosing vitamin c... :stillsick:
