Thanks for putting the summary together.

Regarding Titancon, is the Saturday August 24th 14:00 GRRM panel with George R.R. Martin, a reading by George?

Your summary does not include any information about it.

It's updated and indicates it's a Wild Cards-focused appearance.

Apologies for my lack of tech-savviness at the moment...

I have updated the t-shirt link with images. There are 3 images shown, but we will be going with only one, and it is most likely to be the white shirt with red ink (or possibly a light gray shirt with red ink).

I'll be putting in the order tomorrow (Colorado daytime) and they should be €17.50 per t-shirt if we order between 21-50 t-shirts. I'll plan to bus over on Thursday of Worldcon to pick them up (or if someone wants to drive me over, that's acceptable too). :D We are currently at 25 shirts (plus probably 2 for me and hubby)!

Link again for those who were still on the fence. :)https://forms.gle/AJ9NsWukhscySmbV8

Looking forward to seeing everyone next week!

In the event anyone has time and interest for doing some touristy things when in Dublin, I thought I'd throw out a couple of things I'm considering doing outside of Dublin usual touristy things...

- Taking the boat to Howth and having a stroll around the coast there.  The boat leaves from right near the convention center on the river.  Then it is a quick train ride back to Dublin.  This would be contingent on it not pouring.  Probably a half a day trip.   Some of us went to Howth when attending Octocon back in 2009(?) and really enjoyed it. http://www.visithowth.ie/

- Anyone into historic houses?  I'm going to pop out to Castletown House one afternoon for a look around the house and grounds.  Looks like there is a bus we can take out there.  http://castletown.ie/

- Glendalough. Would be a full day so would probably do this the Tuesday after the con (August 20).  No idea how I would get there yet but I'm exploring options. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glendalough

If anyone would be interested in doing any of these things, let me know.  I'm arriving in Dublin on Thursday and then won't be going home until Wednesday the 21st so will be fitting these in as I can amidst the usual con activities.

IIRC it is at Glendalough that the stairs of Cirth Ungol can be found.  These stairs completely broke me and left me unable to walk for a few days.  (hobble yes just) several years ago (they had started filming the show or maybe just the pilot) when many of us all went to OctoCon.  The view from the top is awesome though and I still totally blame Pod for making Peader lie when I asked if the walk is mostly flat and suitable for an unfit person who baled on the cliff walk due to the difficult expected terrain.

I have forgiven, I will just never forget. Too much PTS but if you ask @Peadar he may be willing and able to take you.

All of these things are of interest to me, @lady narcissa

Great!  Let me know your schedule, i.e. what days will you be there, what days work best for you.

ROTF! I remember this!  I was so sad/glad I got there the next day and missed out on this outing.  I most likely would skip these steps.

I have found a bus that goes there or alternatively if feeling very lazy, several tours go direct from Dublin.

But the view from the top is awesome, Its a great spot to eat your packed lunch.  and yes everyone apart from Peadar was broken, but they all went on a hike once they got to the top.

Hi all!

T-shirt information (long, so feel free to skip if N/A):

The total cost was $848.32 (USD). There were 41 shirts requested which would be $20.69 per shirt. However, by ordering 52 shirts the per-shirt price lowered so that the final cost was only a few dollars more. (There's usually a few people who missed the signups, etc., so I figured it was worth it.)

I can pick up the shirts Thursday afternoon (August 15) around 5:30 - 6 pm, so I'll have them with me from then on. So get your shirts from me early in the con! :D

If everyone pays $20 per shirt and a few of the extras get picked up, I will be able to cover the costs. I've set up a PayPal Me, so you can send money to PayPal.Me/NikkiEbright. You should be able to pay by your PayPal account or credit card. (If I'm wrong, we'll work something out.) Please let me know which order you are paying for so I can keep track! Alternately, you can give me cash in person; I will take Euros (€18), USD ($20), or Pounds Sterling (£17)!

Let me know if you have any questions and than you all for joining me on this fun endeavour!

Hello, I'd be interested in Howth and Glendalough. These stairs of doom have always intrigued me, I missed them last time. :(

I remember that hike in Howth in 2009... must have been the first time I met most of you. :grouphug:

Great!  Let me know what dates you'll be there and what dates work for you?  For example, does the Tuesday after the con work for you for going to Gelndalough?

For anyone interested in going to Glengalough (or anyone who has experience getting there), I've found this bus which goes direct from Dublin there but it leaves midday and would then limit the time we have there and I'm wondering if anyone knows of any other options?

http://www.glendaloughbus.com/default.aspx

There are also day trip tours that go there but they also go to multiple other locations so again, time limited.
