Ser Scot A Ellison
The Eyrie. It's just a cool concept, even if such a fortress is too far from the surrounding countryside to properly project power.
Jo498
Some Greek (and probably also Tibetan) monasteries are similar to the Eyrie but of course these were not supposed to project power, rather remote on purpose https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meteora#List_of_Monasteries My boring favorite is probably the Shire, partly because it is so close to real world idylls one can think of as having been real and still achievable. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grantchester https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Old_Vicarage,_Grantchester#Text
matt b
I think The Culture is the only fictional world I would actually want to visit. Everything just seems so....completely awesome all the time.

It reminds me of Neuschwanstein, but that was a fantasy castle, not one that was built to project power.

There have been many days where I just wish I could slip through the cracks and disappear into that exciting whimsical world
Jo498
I'd be probably horrified by London Below [that's why I want a peaceful Shire, at most light gardening duty and 5 meals a day] but it is brilliantly done with great atmosphere. Neverwhere was the first (or second) book by Gaiman I read in ca. 2004 and while I never re-read it (I don't really re-read things nowadays) I think it is brilliant despite some flaws and seems somewhat underrated and not as frequently discussed as his other books. I used to have this argument with my friends when the series was till being published. Sure magic and wizards and fun, but then you probably get killed by Voldemort. Post book 7 though sure. Also I want to hang out with Luna Lovegood.

I imagine most of the people who want to go there are imagining that they're not going to be the assistant janitor when they get there. 9 hours ago, matt b said: I think The Culture is the only fictional world I would actually want to visit. The only counter-argument is that I often found some of the inhabitants of The Culture to be a bit irritating.

I'd probably be a squib I definitely wished Hogwarts was real when I was growing up though and like @Let's Get Kraken I used to fantasize about opening a Hogwarts letter The first book still captures that childish imagination even now when I reread it. Characters I wish were real...Granny Weatherwax and Nanny Ogg.

Does the drug make them less annoying or does it make you more accepting of annoying people. Before I move to a ring habitat and join Special Circumstances, I need to know this. KingintheNorth4
The sentient planet Mogo, part of the Green Lantern mythos. It'd be pretty cool to have conversations with an actual planet. Stark/Avengers tower. Just to check out the latest Starktech, plus an awesome view of the Manhattan skyline. Sailing any of the four blues in the world of One Piece. I'd love to visit many islands with their own unique cuisine, culture, etc.
C.T. Phipps
Bizarrely, straight up truth, I wish the Streetfighter Universe were true. I would love to live in a colorful low-leve superhero universe where punching things was the way to enlightenment.
