Frey Kings
They rose from nothing and didn't owe anyone blind allegiance. No legendary or historic roots like some other great houses in Westeros. But they should be proud that a commoner was able to rise to royalty and the the rest of the royalty class didn't accept them and continue to spit on them!!! Sure there are some bad apples but when you are sh_tted on for your entire existence what else would you expect? Here's to House Frey!!!
Adam Yozza
Yeah sure the Frey's from 500 years ago, mad respects to them. Well done. The Frey's at the end of the third century though? While their are some good apples among the bunch the house as a whole lost their right to respect when they chose the most scummy and dishonourable course of action open to them. Down with House Frey.

Sure, people may talk about them behind their backs but I attribute most of that to the fact that they collect toll on everybody who passes through The Twins. Most of it is bitterness coming from people who resented having to pay and the others are jealous of the Frey's successful entrepreneurship. Many hypocrites criticize Walder for fathering so many children but the man supported his children, unlike a king that we know. Long live the Lord of the Crossing! That only happened recently but only because people from all sides came knocking on their door. They weren;t the ones that knocks. Also, most of the houses in Westeros are whores to the Iron Bank and to their IT/Lord. IB calling in their debts = houses go crazy and so much of their "honor" & "prestige" & legendary status goes out the window. lol

Your 10000 year old castle, 5000 year old sword , the 3000 year old war where your ancestor slew some rival lord because he wanted to take a stone mill from your lands... That all means nothing in the end If you can't catch enough fish to feed your people.
Darth Sidious
They have power and that is enough. All the backroom bitching from the envious is nothing to take seriously. Now if they can just hunt down and destroy the Brotherhood all will be well.
Lyanna<3Rhaegar
Maybe at one point they were respected but now they are known to be of questionable loyalty BEFORE the red wedding. The late Walder Frey does not pay allegiance, calling his banner men late & exacting a toll to cross the twins, even from those he is supposedly loyal to. He sees slights even when none are intended. He slew a King he pledged his loyalty to under his own roof during a wedding meant to seal the deal. Honor & respect are earned & Walder Frey deserves none. Ralphis Baratheon
They are the only House to invent their own children's game. A game in which deceit is used to win and trick the other players. Also in the game a vow means nothing if they say "Mayhaps." Catelyn Stark should have said "mayhaps Robb will marry one of your girls if you let us pass and add your military strength to ours." Old Walder would have either agreed or threw Catelyn in the water.
Jaehaerys Tyrell
I find the Freys to be interesting characters, and I have no wish to see them destroyed as a House. No matter your views on the justifiability of the Red Wedding, the innocent members (especially the children) do not deserve to be punished for the crimes of their kin. Yes. Their rights were not violated. A promise was broken & every attempt made to amend the broken promise.

I'm not advocating the extermination of the entire family. But those involved in the Red Wedding deserve punishment. Those actively involved in the planning/execution will probably meet grisly ends and I'll probably cheer when it happens. But innocents like the young children and Perwyn and Olyvar shouldn't be punished.

Only the people inside the Twins had their guest rights betrayed, the army outside was not protected. 16 hours ago, Lyanna<3Rhaegar said: Maybe at one point they were respected but now they are known to be of questionable loyalty BEFORE the red wedding. Only really by the Tullys. We get most of our opinions on Walder from Cat, who got them from her father who clearly did not like Walder even before Robert's Rebellion. 16 hours ago, Lyanna<3Rhaegar said: The late Walder Frey does not pay allegiance, calling his banner men late & exacting a toll to cross the twins, even from those he is supposedly loyal to. Of course he pays allegiance. He has been the Lord of the Twins Hoster's entire life, in that time he will have regularly paid his taxes, kept the peace in his lands and on his borders. There are time he could have been more dutiful, but to say he does not pay his allegiance is false. And what exactly is wrong with him charging for services in his land? Do you think Hoster can ride into the Bracken lands and help himself to as many horses as he likes just because he is the liege lord? Hoster will have benefited from that bridge and, within reason, how Walder rules and manages his lands has nothing to do with Lord Tully 16 hours ago, Lyanna<3Rhaegar said: He sees slights even when none are intended. I'm pretty sure that Hoster Tully meant to insult Walder with the constant references to him as the 'late Walder Frey'.
