Can Essos survive without slavery? If so what would you propose to fix it after its radical transformation?

Yes what Daenerys did was the best for everyone. And those who don't get inline when she returns are going to burn. If you don't follow the orders of the queen then you burn and the slaves will still be free. The people there can learn to support themselves just like when Daenerys gave those girls a loom to make fabric.

Correct.  The greatest injustice in that world was being committed by the slave masters for thousands of years.  A continent that practices and tolerates slavery is a good candidate for reformation.  Essos has more resources than Westeros and in many ways more advanced.  The grasslands can be farmed, the oceans can be fished, and the mountains can be mined for precious metals.  There are an unlimited number of ways to use natural resources rather than exploiting people.

Fighting to free the slaves is one of Dany's many acts of heroism.  Roasting and punishing the slave masters should be another.

Like can it recover from the economic turmoil that'd be brought about from having uprooted the system that its economy rests on? Will more people suffer more with the outright ban?  If so what should the new system be? Serfdom?

Essos will do better than recover.  Essos will thrive without slavery.  Slavery provides the privileged few with forced free labor.  Take away slavery and they will have to pay wages.  The ones who resist and try to bring slavery will die.  The ones who accept the right way and adapt the new moral way will make less profit but they can rest easy knowing they are doing the right thing and are no longer living in sin.  What will really happen is a more fair and equitable distribution of wealth.  Wealth won't disappear, it will just be distributed to those who are actually doing the workThe economy will grow because more people will have money to spend.  The Iron Bank will profit because there will be more people with income to deposit

Think about it.  Slavery is bad economy.  An economy where there are five slaves to every master is very, very bad.  Downright oppressive.  That means only a small percentage of the population has income.  The rest are property.  Think of the human misery in that economy.  Stopping the slave trade will unlock the wealth tied up in the hands of the masters' families and allow these cities to progress.

The slaving cities are crumbling because there is little incentive to innovate.  The slave-owning families hold all of the wealth and the power.  Getting rid of these slaving families by any means necessary will take away the choke hold that they have on the majority and allow the talents that have been locked in shackles to come out.  In the long run, there will be the equivalent of the Renaissance after Dany rescues the slaves and gets rid of the slave masters.  Many more fishermen, farmers, shop keepers, craftsmen working for themselves and earning income for themselves will result in economic progress and a better quality of life for most people in the long term.

The great majority of people will be helped and they will be much better off being free.  The welfare of the Master Class should not even matter.  The masters have profited for many centuries from the exploitation of slaves.  It is only justice to take away everything they have and give it to their former slaves.  There is no need for masters in any system.  There is a need for government but that is not the same as slavery.  This is a good opportunity to put in place a new government and it doesn't matter if it's a monarchy or democracy.  Either will be a big improvement over the slave system.  This is not going to happen overnight and it will take a long time but there is light at the end of the tunnel.  Braavos is not perfect but it is a lot better than slavery and yeah the Braavosi have to work hard for their money but that is how it should be.
