Well, that was quick - one of my colleagues has noticed and asked me why

Let us know if you need some good boilerplate language to explain why. My org ended up developing some of this since we got this query from both colleagues and external partners (and random people).

Have a somewhat similar story at my company, where I noticed it happening more and more and incorporated it into my signature. Should note that it routinely makes the top 25 of the friendliest companies for LGBTQIA+ people to work at, so it doesn't have to created any questions or ruckus (keep in mind we are in a reasonably conservative part of Michigan, but not capitol storming crazy level).

I did put down the pronouns as preferred, which is fine when it comes to me I guess.

Do you mind saying where allies are included? Or regardless, I support any one who loves in a standard or non standard way, and has a non-binary approach to gender. I’m Cis straight but somewhat androgynous, which has gotten me an honorary L card! We joked about it but I was proud to be accepted. My friends also said specifically, that I did not belong in Texas:) ( don’t enjoy make up…my skin is great, thank you very much.)

Has anyone been watching Jeopardy!?

The current champion, a transgender woman named Amy Schneider has been unstoppable!

She's earned just shy of half a million dollars, she's now number 5 in champions who have won the most and she just keeps going crushing her opponents just about every episode. She's been champion for 12 days now.

She is amazing!

Cross posting from the international thread.

Here's some good news for trans, non-binary, intersex and their allies. The New Zealand parliament just voted UNANIMOUSLY (yes that's right liberals, conservatives, libertarians and socialists all of them) to make it easy to change ones birth certificate to the gender one identifies as. Good to see that all of our politicians recognise that an individual's right to self-determination trumps the personal religious, moral or ideological views of the politician. A small step for trans acceptance, but a great day.

Yeah, they've handled the gay couple well overall, so I'm rather optimistic. And btw., I bet the "special" relationship with Stamets/ Culber will be a parental one.

I couldn't disagree more. The episode when...

Spoiler

the gay doctor is killed by the disguised Klingon is awfully close to the straight-man-becomes-murderous-when-confronted-with-his-hidden-truth

hit really hard. Star Trek has always been bad with gay characters--when it had them at all--but this was almost shocking.

Texas really is bonkers lately, with its abortion ban and this absurd notion of what qualifies as child abuse. Given that Missouri is trying to illegalize leaving the state for an abortion, the Lone Star State isn't the only one of the fifty going nuts.

I'm guessing it's the conservative super-majority on the Supreme Court that's prompting this deluge of terrible state action. Even if some of this stuff gets struck down, too much probably will get through.

Time for Democrats to do what Republicans have been doing for years: pack that court.

I told my mom and little sister less than a hour ago that I was bisexual.

Still waiting on the reactions.

Edit: Fuck it. I let my oldest brother know as well.

oh wow! Congratulations on taking that step. I hope that your family will be supportive of who you are :grouphug:

Also want to acknowledge that coming out can be really stressful or scary (or it can be totally mundane -- it's a totally individual thing), and I want to acknowledge all of the feelings you've been going through during the process.

Congratulations! Wishing you a supportive response from them. Echoing what Xray said about coming out being very personal and it can be very stressful or no big deal depending on your personal circumstances.

All the love and respect
