Mark Antony
Bayern are so dangerous from set pieces which would scare me in a hypothetical final. Man Marcelo is so good.
Consigliere
Marcelo is outstanding going forward but not so great when it comes to defending. Just watch him make the most half-arsed attempts at getting back into position to defend. If Liverpool end up facing Real, Salah is going to have a field day. A Horse Named Stranger
Well, Marcelo will just (attempt to) break Salah's legs and then pretend nothing has happened.
Consigliere
And the ref will wave play on. Ruthless by Real Madrid. Those missed chances have proven to be costly for Bayern. Lovely finish by Asensio.
Jordan La Cabra
Credit to Real Madrid for taking advantage of Rafinha’s error. Great composure from Asensio for his goal.
ljkeane
Wow, that's an awful, awful goal to concede. Bayern are shooting themselves in the foot.
Mark Antony
Yeah can’t make mistakes like that
Jordan La Cabra
Clear hand ball, rightfully disallowed goal and all that, but what a finish from Ronaldo!
ljkeane
If Lewandowski wants his move to Real in the summer to stay on he could do with putting in a better performance next week.
Consigliere
Real just know how to win in this competition. Bayern still have a chance and hopefully Robben and Alaba will make it for the 2nd leg. Real did look vulnerable at the back. Ribery was skinning Carvajal and later Vasquez. If Robben was on the other side and Müller remained as a secondary striker, Bayern could have created even more. That early injury really upset Bayern's attacking balance and forced nearly all of their attacks to come down their left which made them a bit predictable. ljkeane
Two yellow cards inside 10 minutes, that's some going. It's not the highest quality set of European semifinals I've ever seen this week.
Consigliere
Vrsalijko's first challenge on Wilshere was a foul but I don't think that was worthy of a yellow. The 2nd challenge on Lacazette - no complaints about that being a yellow.
Consigliere
Atleti are definitely going to get up to some antics now to try and get Arsenal players booked.
Jordan La Cabra
That was quite an entertaining first half. Arsenal have had plenty of chances but a combination of poor finishes and strong goalkeeping has kept them out. Atletico players going down very easily, rolling about, taking their time at set plays and throw ins. Commentator rightfully labelled them ‘street-wise’. Consigliere
I'd like to see Kolasinac come on for Monreal. Arsenal need to stretch the Atleti defence and Kolasinac offers more in attack. He will certainly offer more width.
Consigliere
If Costa is fit enough to play any part in this game then he needs to come on asap. Atleti have no outlet and desperately need someone with his physicality who can hold the ball up. Griezmann can't do that.
Mexal
Such an Arsenal game.
Consigliere
Arsenal could still get another goal or two. I expect the Atleti players might start to tire in the last 10-15 minutes and they have zero threat going forward. There isn't even anyone up top who can hold the ball up. Mexal
Arsenal needs at least one more goal.
Consigliere
You were right Mexal. Typical Arsenal shooting themselves in the foot. Shambolic defending.
