Why does [email protected] wear bunny ears in Meereen?

Recommended Posts

It's a figure of speech that refers to Dany's tokar. Brown Ben Plumm tells her "a man wants to be king o' the rabbits, he best wear a pair o' floppy ears", meaning that if she wants to rule Merreen she should dress as the Merrenese do so as not to appear as an outsider. So every time Dany puts on a tokar, she refers to it as donning her floppy ears.

Yes, exactly as John Suburbs says.

It also has a more encompassing meaning. It's nothing only the ritual clothing she must wear, but the societal customs she needs to follow. Such as riding in a street-chair when she'd rather not.
