I also love Ewoks. I've never understood the Ewok and RotJ hate. It was the first SW movie I ever saw (I was young), and I've always loved it.

I saw the Ewoks cartoon before I saw ROTJ, so the "real-life" Ewoks kind of freaked me out - they were glassy-eyed and couldn't speak properly!  But I never hated them.  Never hated JarJar either, really.  I do intensely dislike all Jedi apart from Qui Gon Jinn, and I guess Luke and Rey, though.  The prequels even made me dislike Yoda.

They are the absolute worst. Clarkson is a shameless chameleon and Hammond needs to roll his car properly and be done with it. May I can just about tolerate.

Agree completely. Clarkson is utterly detestable. In fact he approaches Piers Morgan levels of loathsome in my eyes (approaches but doesn’t quite reach, because he IS Piers Morgan after all).

Agreed.

Also, The Beatles are the most overrated thing in the history of rating things.  At absolute best they are mediocre.  Good news is that they are better than Kiss.

Guinness is nasty.

Liveship Traders is Hobb's best work.

Chocolate Chip is the best ice cream flavor by a significant margin.  Mint chocolate chip and chocolate chip cookie dough are blasphemous abominations.

Liveships being her best work is not at all unpopular! Or certainly not on this forum anyway. (But it’s all great stuff anyway).

My favourite ice cream used to be cherry Garcia but I have not seen it anywhere over here for years now :(

Ha, your prequel posts keep making me think of this:

Clarkson did punch Piers Morgan - which gives him plus points in my eyes.

Going on nothing but my own reasoning, Piers Morgan seems like he actually is his odious TV persona (I will never forget him threatening Ian Hyslop on HIGNFY), whereas Clarkson's TV (and particularly Top Gear) persona seems like more of an act, or at least an extreme caricature.

Morgan is in a different league. Like you say he appears to be vile through and through. It's like people forgot what he did as a journalist prior to TV personality.

And while Clarkson has a tendency to punch people I think he fulfilled a lot of wishes when he punched piers

I think it’s pretty obvious that Clarkson’s Top Gear persona is an exaggerated version of him (also May and Hammond to a lesser extent).

How Piers Morgan ever got work again after those fake photos of the soldiers abusing Iraqi prisoners is beyond me. The only person I can think of who comes close to that level of obnoxiousness is Kelvin McKenzie, after he left the Sun, withdrawing his apology for their Hillsborough coverage.

I can quite happily detest both Piers Morgan AND Jeremy Clarkson, regardless of whether or not one of them punched the other.

It's certainly not mutually exclusive.

I don't like either of them. And while I love a handful of Zepelin songs, I can't say I like them as a whole.

It's not their existence that bothers most people, it's their vital role in defeating Stormtroopers. The Emperor tells Luke that some of his best legions are down on Endor. So the best the Empire has is defeated by a bunch of slightly oversized teddy bears with sticks and stones. Why even bother with the armor on the stormtroopers. And Lucas initially envisioned all that but with Wookies, which would have been so much better, but budget constraints forced him to go this route.

This is a valid question even ignoring the Ewoks. They all seem to die in one blaster shot anyway.

Clearly you haven't played Ewok Hunt on Star Wars Battfront 2...

That game is great. (It's not, it's shit, but this is the right thread to say some silly thing like that :P)

He's hot A.F.

I've been told I look like him before. But to be fair, people tell me I look like a ton of different actors who oddly look nothing alike.

But I like him anyway, regardless of that lol. I see a lot of people complaining that he's weird or bland or whatever but I always kinda dig his vibes in interviews & thought he was one of the few actually decent things about Suicide Squad.

Hey, he could be a really cool guy in real life. He's just not a very good actor. You mentioned bland and mind intsantly goes to "I think pretty much any other actor could have played the same role he did and could have delivered an equal performance," which is a pretty damning thing to say about an actor.

Dunkirk was boring.

Thank you. That was my take as well and every response has ranged from  to :tantrum:.

I’ve never understood the whole Bill Murray craze. He’s a funny guy who has been in some decent movies but he’s not THAT great.

HEY!!! You went too far there. Public I must :fencing: you while secretly inside being all like .

LOL... And I would take Queen over both any given day :D

Some random ones...

1. I never understood the love for "The Shape of Water"

2. In most roles, Tom Hardy is good at grunting. Nothing else...

3. Generally not impressed with Robert Downey Jr.

4. Lady Gaga is millenials' version of Madonna. And worse, not a good one.

5. I never understood people criticizing Nicole Kidman for botox. I am not sure about the rest, but she can express emotion rather well.

6. I would take Vampire Diaries over True Blood. The latter is softcore porn in my book.

7. Oh, I prefer Star Trek to Star Wars... I hate Star Trek movies but DS9 made up for all of that.

Let's see...

Star Wars opinions! I, too, like the Ewoks. Given, i was very young when I first saw ROTJ as well. I always liked how the Emperor looses because he discounts the possibility that the rebels would make new friends, and they'd team up to beat him. C-3P0 saves the day!

While I do not care for Jar Jar, I feel as if he would have done better if he didn't speak English (or at leas the same language as the rest of the cast). And I still feel that if he, unchanged, had been the worse element of the entire prequel trilogy, they would have been fine movies. The poor characterization and sheer lack of FUN, for me, were the real problems.

Ewok hate has always baffled me.  However it was done with costumes it was utterly believable.  Sure, they were cute and cuddly, but it felt like they really were a race of cute and cuddly Ewoks.  Contrast that with the crime-against-humanity, not-ready-for-prime-time CGI of the prequel trilogy...

Kaminoans don't feel like a vibrant and genuine culture to you?
