C.T. Phipps
I think the story essentially has the moral of. The heroine is made a monster by the monstrous behavior of the enemy. I also wouldn't be surprised if the survivors of the apocalypse retaliate the same way.
Darth Richard II
Spoiler I think anyone justifying Rin's actions at the end of the book missed the point of the book. But we'll see where the series goes.
D_P
I had very little problem during the reading of this book. Perhaps a bit of Mary Sue, but she's meant to be one of those characters that change a war, a world, single-handed. I didn't get quite as much into the school as I'dve liked but Sinegard is now gone, so the point is moot. I felt she was a singularly minded and focused person; though I'm willing to admit this had to do with Jean Grey :P The ending, though not quite what I'd hoped, satisfied me. It is gonna be one of those types where absolute power corrupts absolutely and this girl has the means to walk the walk. I'm looking forward to more...and, in the story; as well as Kuang's bibliography.
