Holy moly, you’re alive! So nice to see you around, HC! :grouphug:

I’m really glad things are going well on the family front. Sorry about the cats though. Are you planning on getting new kittens at some point? Or maybe a cute puppy? (Dog person alert!) Puppies are cuter anyway, it is known.

Yeah, rocksniffer sometimes checks in and plays Pictionary. I’d suggest PMing him, he might get a notification and check it even if he’s off line.

Well, kids, don’t ignore problems. They don’t go away, they just sharpen their teeth to bite you in the arse harder when the time comes. / Life lessons with Rhaenys

Or hop hops!, hop hops are cuter than puppies, and pretty much everything, except maybe ducklings which are equally cute.

After a few years away, I'm surprised to see so many familiar names - which is nice, actually. Good to see so many of you staying in touch here.

Around our chicken coop, things have changed somewhat. The chickee and her bf have their own house. Mrs. Chicken got a new job a couple years ago and is much happier than she was in the old one. I will reach social security age this year but keep working as that increases benefits when I do stop. My brother just visited from his home in California and he just about hiked me to death. He's been riding his bike 40 miles, three or four times a week.

Oh, sad news - we have no cats now. They both died of kidney failure, Friskey at 18 and Shadows at 17 years of age. I miss them both, but the house does smell better.

Does rock Sniffer ever check in? We're fb friends, but I have not seen a post from him in forever.

Very nice to see you again HC :) Sounds like things are good at Casa Chicken. Awesome news about chicken and her bf, and I'm glad your wife is happier in her new job. Sad news about your cats, I'm sorry :(

Sniffer checks in from time to time, plays Pictionary. His niece might be able to help you though. @She who must be Obeyed

quick rundown of the latest here that springs to mind.

Lord Sidious gave birth to the future supreme ruler of the galaxy. A fine young Sith apprentice indeed she is turning out to be.

In further Baby news, LadyO has also added a new rose to the garden :) Now the dragon truly has three heads - Koba (wonder how she is?) Sidious and It's three children.

Buck is currently no longer in a postage stamp of a country and generally showing the world her smarts.

lany checks in once in a while, is very busy with work, which from what I can tell is going well. Alex is no longer the youngling he was when I joined. This feels weird.

Rhae recently had the sister visit. For a full rundown go back a few pages

Rosé?

Let's just go home and drink rosé.

Let's get super lit and not admit that this is just a primal ritual we need now and then.

Btw, don't know if you saw the news but the final season is going to be 18 episodes again! And there is going to be a cellblock tango number, with a twist. Eeek!

I’m not sure conscientiousness is the word I would use to describe not procrastinating on getting the aircon checked. It’s more like common sense and  proactivity.

:dunno: I don’t know anything about the US education system. As for the state’s role in  taking care of citizens, it’s a whole other philosophical question. So is success.

But I do agree about winter’s being more manageable.

I'd counter that common sense isn't so common , especially among the young ,these days and so the effort to be productive is somewhat admirable .

I will not start with the education system because it's a sad unfunny joke imo. (I can elaborate if you like , I just don't see the point of dragging you into a weird conversation without your desire to .)

Full disclosure, I'm very much a small government person . It is not the government's job to run your life or protect you from your own stupidity imo .

I like winter , it reminds me of fairy tales . Also I get to cuddle up in fluffy blankets and drink absurd amounts of tea .

They have hop hops freely hopping around a big park in this city! They are adorable. Maybe the only positive thing I have seen here ...

 Koba (wonder how she is?)

So many TTTNE kiddies! And yes, I wonder what Koba is up to. ;) I mean, I have her on FB, but that is not really the same as TTTNE.

Honestly, I am going back to my postage sized country next week and I cannot wait. It is boring here.

I deleted the part where you mentioned Lany and her youngling, but I just remembered: she posted a picture a few days ago of her youngling learning to drive a car.

Well, without love you can save the world, didn't you know?

Of course I saw the news, are you doubting my obsession? :D Yaaaay!

I thought Strip Away My Conscience was quite Cell Block Tango-ish already. I hope it will be completely different.

But most, I am hoping for a Paula tap-dance number! Rachel hinted at something about it in an interview, and I really wish that plan comes to fruition! Haha, get it? It's a grocery pun! :D

Also, I want ... Heather to go back to school and study psychology and do an internship/mentorship program/placement/whatever with Dr. Akopian, because I want these two to interact, they would be hilarious. And an Aline Brosh McKenna cameo. And for Darryl to remember he has an elder daughter too. And and and ... IDK, just an appearance fro Audra Levine, because she is funny. Same for Tommy Proctor, I find him funny and definitely not so horrible as Paula thinks her sons are (which is probably the point). And and and so many other things. I mean, I know I will be completely surprised with everything that happens, and it will be great. :D

Well statistically speaking, the average life expectancy for an American man is around 74-76 years and I'm 27 going on 28 ... I am an old man . But let's be romantic and call me an old soul :smoking:

Also ,I'm not an agreeable person and I guess that's something that's associated with old men .

I call that and raise you my dryer which does not discriminate based on the season .

As an entitled Millennial, I’m a believer in the minimum input, maximum output philosophy. But that minimum effort, one does actually have to put in, which is something my gen Z sister doesn’t quite get.

Thanks for offering but I think I’ll pass on the US education system.

As for the government, if they are going to chop off a third of salaries as income tax, and vile percentages for capital transfer tax, I kinda expect them to do some shit for me other than building a bureaucracy that makes my life more difficult. Or leave all that money with me.

Yeah, I can agree with that. In the 28C we have in the flat, everything is bone dry in half a day.

That's just the concept of efficiency . Nothing to do with being millennial. No one wants to put in extra effort for no return . I think your sister's attitude is reflective of why so many young people these days seem to think socialism is wonderful.

Yep, I am a believer in the Austria/Chicago school of economics and the teachings of Friedrich Hayek . Which is to say low taxes , minimum regulation, low federal budget and overall saving and investment . From the looks of it you are as well , welcome to the club sister

Oh, also, I want to know what happened to this key plot point from season 3:

  Hide contents

Did Tim and his wife's sex life and communication improve in a meaningful way?

Such profound humiliation...

Regards your other points...

An ABM cameo wouldn't surprise me, quite a lot of people have been asking if that's going to happen at Comic con and such.

Strip Away my Conscience was a Fosse inspired song, especially the choreography. See this as a comparison

Of course Cell Block Tango is its own almost parody of Fosse...there is an interview with Rachel somewhere that she talks about parodies of particular musical numbers in fact becoming their own sub-genre so there you have it

But Heather already makes such a good manager! And she and Dr. Akopian already interacted briefly. You know, the doggy door incident :P

Paula's kids are funny. Especially when they play the Fairy Princess game, despite those stupid penis's.

I hope Madison returns too. I kind of loved the no nonsense approach to everything she has, especially WhiJo and Daryl. Who I hope get back together because  them.

which reminds me, Maya! Want more Maya. I wonder if she ever got on the Vagina retreat, sun her, steam her, bedazzle her you know.

I think Audra will be back, she's had an appearance every season so far. Also be nice to see her hedge fund manager fiancé. I hear he's really not good at all, small dick rotten lay.

Well, if that was possible, Star Wars wouldn't be 9 episodes long, and counting :P

How is your young apprentice? How is she coping with the heat?

Just because throwing lightning through the airwaves to come out your side hasn’t been shown on film, doesn’t mean it isn’t possible, after all the Dark Side of the force is a pathway to many abilities some consider unnatural.

My Little apprentice is good, she’s not been great with the heat, it’s woken her up more often, but the last few days haven’t been as hot, and now they’re getting hot again thankfully our air conditioning has now been installed and wow it’s powerful, I’ve had to set it  low, if you turn it up too high it feels like an ice box!.

I see your dryer and I raise you my clothes horse, which is way more energy efficient and therefore better for the environment.

I see. I have never seen any of these choreographies before. I kind of see the similarity, but to me Strip Away My Conscience still looks and sounds more like Cell Block Tango. The clothing, the red lighting, the bars-like windows in the background through which the dancers come. And of course the sexy energy of it. Anyway, I trust the CXG team they are going to make the new song distinct enough to not be seen as Strip Away My Conscience v.2. Unless they start deliberately parodying themselves, which ... is totally something this show would do.

I know they did. And I also know that Heather is the best at analysing people. I think it is kind of a waste of her talent to have her as a Home Base manager, I want her to be a psychologist! :commie:

Wouldn't the plural of this last word be penises? I mean, far be it from me to correct a native speaker ... :leaving:

I especially like all the scenes where Rebecca is babysitting Tommy and make her speeches and he seems like the more rational between the two of them. They are very funny together.

I mean, I am not necessarily interested in that last part about Maya, but I am sure she will still be there in the office leaving her stratcher all around (she has psoriasis!), picking stuff up after Darryl knocks everything over, moving her glasses up and down her nose, wondering if Nathaniel is a furry, and being generally adorable.

Please stop telling everybody that he has a small hmmmm! :P

I am sure gardening is a good idea. Lany and Pebble, who sometimes post here, are apparently very good at it.
