Often times I come across stories that should be shared, but typically there isn't an already established thread that's at least some what germane to the topic, so I post them in the thread for stories that don't deserve their own threads, and as always, they go unnoticed. I want to encourage people to share stories they see and hear, regardless of how important they may seem to be. Whether you want to talk about a heavy subject, like for example, in the last nine months 132 politicians have been murdered in Mexico, or something lighter, like how in Spain people are freaking out because of a hilariously bad art restoration project, please feel free to share! I'll also try and post NPR's international news round up each week. Rescuers decided to go ahead with the hazardous operation on Sunday because of fears of rising waters. Divers are guiding the 12 boys and their coach through darkness and submerged passageways towards the mouth of the Tham Luang cave system. They are being rescued in groups. It is unclear how long the mission will take. However, it is moving much faster than officials had earlier predicted.
