Why SweetROBIN?

Actually, Robin used to be a fairly common nickname for Robert. The best example I can think of is American-Canadian journalist Robert MacNeil. He was always referred to as Robin. This reference is best known by older people since Robert MacNeil retired from broadcast journalism long ago. I'm sure this nickname is best known to older people like myself and GRRM, since there used to be a ton of Roberts around.

Also Robin is a more 'traditional' Arryn name: there was  King Robin Arryn back in the very early days of the House, whereas our Sweetrobin seems to be the first 'Robert' in the family.

So with Robin being a suitable diminutive for Robert, AND being a more 'Arryn' type of name too, I guess it makes some sense
