Daemon the Leaner
If I recall, the Rains of Castamere song appears in ASOS. I was just wandering who decided that it shall be sung this way and not another ? Was the tune solely maked by Game of Thrones composer Ramin Djawadi, or did GRRM have his word on it ? Really, it may be only a detail, but I find it interesting... The same question could actually be asked about any song that appears in both books and show, e.g the Bear & Maiden fair song. PS: If this topic doesn't have its place here (or doesn't deserve to exist at all u_u), feel free to clearly tell me it, rather than deleting it…
Nittanian
https://www.thisisinsider.com/game-of-thrones-ramin-djawadi-rains-of-castamere-2016-8 Quote "Benioff and Weiss said there's lyrics in the books for 'The Rains of Castamere' that we would like you to write a melody for," Djawadi tells INSIDER. "It needed to be haunting but beautiful, and all these other criteria because the theme had to be really flexible. So just based on the lyrics I sat down and wrote it." FYI, this question would be better in the Show subforum.
