Maester Yobjascz
Nice work! I think we ought to be pulling ages from AGoT... that's the time period in which this whole thing gets started.

Maester Yobjascz
For the Lannisters, I'd take out Raff the Sweetling and substitute in Ser Rudolf Spicer... As for the Reach, I don't know. I suppose they (as generals) should be included with Stannis... though their lands should be neutral/rebel factions in the Reach.
The Adequate Jon
I had Raff in there because he was in charge of the group escorting Ser Robin Ryger to the Wall. I guess that really sounds more like a captain than a general. I'll replace him with Rudy. On the Reach question, it looks like none of the Fossoways were important enough to be generals for either Stannis or the Tyrells. The Florents, however, should definitely go with Stannis. One more question on Stannis' generals: Should captains of ships be considered generals? I'm thinking specifically of Dale and Allard Seaworth and Aurane Waters. The Adequate Jon
I'm going to try to work on the ages of the generals. I've tried to narrow their ages down to 10-year intervals. These will be mostly guesses, so feel free to offer suggestions. Roose Bolton - 35-45 Ramsay Snow - 18-25 Greatjon Umber - late 30s Smalljon Umber - 15-19 Maege Mormont - 40s Dacey Mormont - 15-19 Rickard Karstark - 40s Harrion Karstark - 20s Wyllis Manderly - late 30s Wendel Manderly - mid 30s Halys Hornwood - 40s Robett Glover - 25-35 Galbart Glover - 25-35 (younger than Robett) Helman Tallhart - 30s Leobald Tallhart - 30s Rodrik Cassel - 50s Medger Cerwyn - 40sI replaced Wyman Manderly with Wendel Manderly because Wyman is too fat to even sit a horse. Maester Yobjascz
Good work AJ... Couple of comments: - Ramsay Snow, I thought, was younger... mid-late teens. - Same with Dacey Mormont... by her 20s she'd be a spinster; as she's still single, I'd make her younger. - Greatjon Umber I would put in his late 30s - Smalljon is still growing, and is thought to one day outgrow his father... so I'd put the Smalljon at mid-teens. - I'd put the two Manderly's as straddling the 30-yr mark... the younger being late 20s, the older early 30s. That would put father Manderly in his 50s, about the right age to be asking after Lady Hornwood. - Roose Bolton I'd place late 30s, early 40s... The rest look right... The Adequate Jon
- Ramsay Snow, I thought, was younger... mid-late teens. I thought he was a little older than Theon. I'll narrow it down to 18-25. I can agree with this. I will make the changes. - I'd put the two Manderly's as straddling the 30-yr mark... the younger being late 20s, the older early 30s. That would put father Manderly in his 50s, about the right age to be asking after Lady Hornwood.Catlyn thinks that Wyman (father) is near 60. So, yes 45 is stretching it. However, both sons are described as "bald with a walrus mustache" at towerofthehand. I will narrow their ages to 35-40. - Roose Bolton I'd place late 30s, early 40s... I can accept that. Maester Yobjascz
Lannisters look good... though I'm not as familiar with them. I'd narrow Lorch's age to late 30s, early 40s... My impression was that he was still rather young at the sack of King's Landing... so, early 20s. It's roughly 16yrs from the Sack to AGoT, so that'd put Ser Lorch in his late 30s. Daven Lannister, Addam Marbrand, and Lyle Crakehall I'd put at the younger end (early 30s), with Daven perhaps being late 20s... Jaime Lannister is in his early/mid 30s as of AFfC, so I'm using him as a guidepost. Strongboar strikes me as Jaime's age, perhaps a couple years older. Marbrand is roughly the same age... and Daven is a bit younger. As to the northern generals... sounds good. My only comment is that it's easily possible for the Manderly brothers to be bald well before their 40s... Wendel (the younger of the two?) I'd still go with an early 30s... the elder Wyllis could go late 30s...

Tonight I'll reread the Cat chapter where the Manderly's escort her to Moat Cailin.

The Adequate Jon
There's a topic in the AFFC forum talking about character ages: http://asoiaf.westeros.org/index.php?s=&am...st&p=728024
Maester Yobjascz
Lookin' good... My only concern with the Tyrells is that Mace's relatives are all in the succession, which means that they'd be in the family tree, and thus not 'generals' in the M2TW sense... no? The Adequate Jon
I checked the Catlyn chapter, and she says that both Manderly's are older than her. So, mid to late 30s is plausible. I don't know about the question on Mace's relatives. I've never played M2TW, so someone else will have to answer that question. For now, I'll mark those who may be in the succession with an *.
