Lion of the West Posted December 5, 2018 Share Posted December 5, 2018 While the OP theory seems to have been debunked I do believe that GRRM has many times stated his admiration for Tolkien so I don't find it very strange that he would insert an easter egg with essential private praise to Tolkien.
