Funny, I met a friend yesterday and it was a year since a pretty significant event in her life too neither of us could believe it. Then we got talking about a mutual school friend and realised her daughter is 4 now! Nuts. I'm in the hellof exam period now, first one on Monday, then Wednesday and friday. Weird structure but they work out at 4 hours per exam, split into a 1 hour Part A on the morning, 3 hour Part B in the afternoon. Then another exam next Monday, then assessments in interviewing and advocacy, then a submission of a first draft of my intro and chapter one of my dissertation the following week. I love this course but I'm unbelievably stressed! On a positive note, I passed some modules already (Wills/Probate, Legal Writing and Practical Legal Research). Progress I guess. Not dropped by the thread in a while. My nanna has been in and out of hospital, which has been difficult and I think I flunked an exam before Christmas as a result (don't care, I can resit and I was in a bad headspace). I just need to pass, the grade does not matter in this program. My faculty does stupid things as usual - just last week I learned that something I expected would bring me 9 ETCS in fact only brings 4 ... for so much work! Not to be too negative, so I will stop uni talk here. Work is fine, family is fine, everything else is fine, I am glad holidays are over cause NY eve sucked. Mine is not off to the best of starts, I feel all ugh and crampy and have a very energetic mini Sith to deal with today!, plus yesterday my new car wouldn’t start when I wanted to go to the supermarket so they’re sending someone out today and I’ve got to wait for them to come, which is good I suppose I’m a way because I really don’t feel like doing much . Now that she is almost grown up. @HelenaExMachina I’m really sorry to hear about your grandma’s health issues. And the pup’s too. Hope they are doing okay. And good luck to you with your exams! The first week of the new year wasn’t particularly grand for me either. On the upside, I have every reason to expect things to improve next week. I kinda need to find a new job in the not too far future. But I’ve been quite good with cooking a lot at home and not ordering takeout and eating healthier. Aside from chocolate. Also @HelenaExMachina I hope your gran and dog make a full recovery, my gran wasn’t well a few years ago and it was really horrible but she recovered and is good now, I’m sure yours will be too . I’m very hormonal and I hate everything and everyone, to be honest. It’s also cold and I didn’t bring a scarf. Or, it’s not cold, it’s 6C, I’m cold.
