Lol

if that makes Tolkien a bad writer I have very bad news for you about your hero mr moorcock

Michael Moorcock is father of Dark Fantasy. Tolkien took all the violence, political intrigue  and sex from fantasy.

Let me say if I had written a novel that received positive reviews in the Sunday Times, and Sunday Telegraph, and praise from the likes of Iris Murdoch, WH Auden, CS Lewis, and Naomi Mitchison, I'd be pretty thrilled.

I could live with being slagged off by Michael Moorcock.

On that note, author and literary critic Christine Brooke-Rose wrote a scathing essay on LOTR as well. One where she gets plot points wrong, makes up stuff that didn't happen, and misspells names like Gamgee and Edoras.

Lord Of The Rings has plot holes.

I honestly don't get a flying fuck at this point what you think about anything.

It upsets you that you know deep inside Tolkien is a bad writer.

Michael Moorcock influenced A Song Of Ice and Fire. A Song Of Ice And Fire is a mix between Elric and The War Of Roses.
