Damn, Flynn must have given up Trump and Pence both to get a recommendation of NO jail time.

My feeling is that some of it is Stone/Corsi, and the other bits are Assange.

Well, the memo is more heavily redacted than a UFO document, so we'll just have to wait and see. I'm not a lawyer but it seems to me that to get off so easily he had to deliver the goods on someone higher up the food chain.

Not sure it's that clear. He's only charged with giving a false statement. We'll see I guess.

What it means is that I agree with you, and politicians saying things that are not factually accurate (such as the 21T budget that can't be accounted for in the Pentagon is money actually just missing and not spent without recording it) happens so absurdly often, especially for effect, that criticizing her and her alone for it is absurd.

ESPECIALLY when we have Trump literally making up shit that happened like this China deal, which apparently was entirely a figment of his imagination.

Sounds like a lot has to do with Russia. I think I heard a commentator say 19 meetings with Russians? I know he had 19 meetings with Mueller, but some ex-military guy on CNN was saying, just when I turned on the tv, that the most shocking thing to him was all the meetings with the Russians. And Flynn was a senior general. Traitor.

And a separate criminal investigation.

Members of the transition team had contacts with the Russians as well. I wonder if that's the criminal investigation?

Pence, of course, was in charge of that.

Someone has just suggested the criminal investigation may be related to the work he did for Turkey. Remember, when he was first under investigation the rumor mill said he had talked to the Turks about kidnapping that Turkish cleric living in Pennsylvania, and taking him back to Turkey, for $10M.

Connect the strings of yarn:

flynn was a senior general. The pentagon has absurd accounting thingummies that exist solely to put large amounts of money (23 trillion!!!) into people like Flynn’s bank accounts.

if Flynn is used to getting a few million here or there from shady pentagon stuff in his personal accounts every year then when he’s not a general person he no longer gets this beautiful corruption personally benefitting him.

this makes him all pouty, but the Russians are willing to keep the tab open and it’s basically the same as being in the US military: mysterious money magically appears in Flynn’s bank account ergo from Flynn’s perspective Russians are the same as the US.

:-p did AOC spill the beans that Flynn pocketed 23 trillion! I think so! Alert the twitters!

That could be. I got the impression the criminal investigation concerned other people. I'll go and re-read it...what there is of it!

I want this investigation to be thorough. I want it to be done right. The drips we're getting aren't enough to draw any firm conclusions (tantalizing as they are). I really hope there is some meat on these bones, but I understand that this all takes patience and I am willing to wait.

It's getting really hard, though. I want to see some sweet, sweet melt-down tweets.

Funny how Scot and his white moderate counter parts in here are more forgiving of rich racist white killers than they are of women of color that actually care about people, isn't it?

Enough.  This is incredibly stupid and entirely unwarranted.  Stop.  It.

If you wanna talk about H.W.'s racism, that's great - talk about it.  If you wanna talk about anything else involving race, that's great, talk about it.  But please cease impugning other users' motives.

Next time you see a rabid dog, try to ask it not to bite you. You may have better success.

Point taken, but dogs totally love me.  Dogs and babies.  It's the Jesus look man.

One of my former students just posted a link to this article on Facebook, about research which correlates the degree of "fragile masculinity" found in Google searches in congressional districts across the country with the vote for Trump in 2016 and Republican candidates in 2018:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/monkey-cage/wp/2018/11/29/how-donald-trump-appeals-to-men-secretly-insecure-about-their-manhood/?fbclid=IwAR3x8F3rq3zncFZOh7tl1rN7mKetC1M4LSdKQ9caO1-Dl1YKMff8B9QUUpE&utm_term=.e0960e6889cc

I think the most interesting point to me in this article was that "fragile masculinity" was NOT correlated with support for either McCain or Romney, so this is actually a new issue in voting behavior.

Somehow it doesn't surprise me that support for Trump is linked to an interest in penis enlargement.

He's the incel President.
