NFL 2018 V: The Packers Win With A Loss While The Cowboys Lose With A Win

Recommended Posts

Now how are Vikings fans feeling about their Cousins signing?   Fairly cold-blooded by Chicago.

Crazy way to finish for Cleveland / Baltimore / Pittsburgh.

Playoffs may as well begin with this game tonight being for the spot.

ETA:  Gabbert time?  Boo.

George Fucking Kittle!

Almost a perfect afternoon from the niners perspective.  Cards came close to beating the Hawks, which would have been amazing.  Niners have the second pick.  Read a lot of hype on Quinnen Williams the past week.  Maybe the Cards pick him instead of Bosa?

So

Colts win=Colts in playoffs

Titans win=Titan in playoffs

Tie game=Steelers in playoffs

I've never wanted a tie so badly.  I have nothing against these teams nor am I a Steelers fan.  It was just be such an insane way for things to play out since both teams would, in effect, lose with a tie.

Bears went 5-1 in the NFC North, and were a hair’s breadth from a clean sweep. Vikings badly underperformed expectations, despite having a ton of talent.  Lions look lost and rudderless.  Packers might improve under a new coach but they’re thin on talent.  And all three have QBs on huge contracts, limiting their spend elsewhere.  Trubiskey has limitations but his rookie contract meant the Bears could pay Mack and several new receivers.

All of that could change quickly.  This league is incredible for mean reversion (except Patriots and Browns).  But it’s a surprise that the Bears went from last (for several years) to first so easily this year.

Great season by the Browns.  Finally got our franchise QB after twenty years.

Now I just hope you screw up when hiring your coach. :P

Hey, after two and a half years of Hue Jackson, it's basically all uphill.

I’m hoping they go with Condoleezza Rice.

Then again she’d probably win a playoff game before Marvin Lewis.

You...do know uphill is harder, right?

Yeah, I definitely typed that wrong.

But you know what I meant.

Honestly, you're a Cleveland fan, so I wasnt actually sure. Maybe you were lamenting losing Hue and whatever you get next will be worse.

They could hire someone off the street and he'd probably be a better head coach than Hue Jackson.  Hue Jackson is the worst coach of at least the last twenty years and probably longer, and arguably the worst coach of all-time.

Welp, no tie between Colts and Titans <_<

Steelers did what they had to do even though it wasn't pretty. I figured it would be a lot for the Browns to go into Baltimore and get a win when they have been playing so well recently and at home, but it was damn close. There was a good 5-7 minutes when the game switched over to Baltimore/Cleveland where I thought the Browns had it. They were cruising down the field and then fell flat as the Ravens D held up. I seriously thought they had it. That was rough.

We never should've been in this situation. An effing loss to the Broncos and Raiders screwed us. Absolutely terrible. Being 7-2-1 and finishing 9-6-1 is pure golden shit. This team is so inconsistent. I doubt we make any big changes. Might cut the D coordinator loose, but I'm sure Tomlin will stay. Will be an interesting offseason. AFC North should be a slug fest next year.

Obviously, you didn't have to smell Jim Tomsula's farts.

I mean, he had a better coaching record than Jackson did the past 2.5 years.

He won twice as many games in 17 tries as Hue did in forty.

Be happy right up until they announce the Hue Jackson hiring later today.
