Jaak Posted December 11, 2018 Share Posted December 11, 2018 In 54, Balerion was 168 and Aerea 11. Aerea left in late 54 and returned in April 56 - getting stuck in Valyria for at least 16 months. She returned emaciated - but she must have fed during her absence, because starving to death takes much fewer months than 12. In 115, Vhagar was 166 and Laena 22. Daemon was 34, and Caraxes attested as ridable for 45 years. Gyldayn reports, and dismisses, reports of Laena´s visit to Valyria. Certainly neither Laena nor Daemon returned with a firewyrm infection. But neither were they missing for a year. Are the whereabouts of Laena and Daemon attested day to day, throughout their visit to Volantis, and journey to and from Volantis? Because a flight from Red Keep to Oldtown was 3 days for Jaehaerys and Alysanne. A week´s otherwise unaccounted absence on a voyage from Norvos to Volantis might be a detour to see Dothraki Sea... or to Valyria, as rumoured.
