Which part of Winterhell? There’s three pieces: Sansa and Ramsay’s marriage, Sansa vs Littlefinger, and the Long Night. Everyone in Game of Thrones planning the battle against the dead made the guys at Helm’s Deep look like geniuses.

I get why Benioff and Weiss fabricate nasty lines about girls and women, and have girls and women put themselves down... their issues have issues. But HBO reading the bad pussy line and actually not saying whoa, not a good look, and axing it, is laughable.

Everyone instantly hated that line and ridiculed them about it, and they still do. Just like Winterhell. Just like everything they did that went over like a lead balloon, that anyone with a modicum of sense would have known. There were no adults in the room.

Yeah, “I am the gift” was vomit-inducing. The line by itself isn’t as bad or offensive as others. But taken in the context of Tyrion’s elevation to sainthood... and now I’m remembering that paragraph somewhere, about how Shae made him kill her, it was all her fault, bad Shae! Like I said, vomit-inducing.

IMHO Yara's quote was much less shocking because it was uttered by a character one might think is drunk and occurred in a credible context, at the end of a coherent dialogue…

"Bad pussy" is the cherry on top of a dreadful industrial cake made of the worst ingredients, a toxic horror the size of an episode.

No I don’t think it was a good idea to send cavalry charging through the darkness at the White Walkers, especially since they didn’t have anything particularly effective until Melisandre showed up. And that’s just one of many, many problems I had with that battle.

@The Dragon Demands I watched a couple of the videos you recently posted on your channel, the ones that HBO tried to hide with inside the episode(s) interviews. 

Their defense of Dany's actions and becoming the Mad Queen pisses me off even more, because they're besmirching Targaryens as a whole, too. Like the Targaryens were the Nazis of the GoT universe. Egg was a genocidal maniac, Daeron II executed everyone who rebelled against him, Jaeherys conciliated things with FIRE & BLOOD!!!

And the way they keep saying how “they came up” w/ this or that during series 3... I can’t help but think, remember how very early on they kept saying that what they wanted most of all was to get to do the RW? So, there you go. They got to s3, got to do their precious RW, and came up w/ all these stupid as fuck ideas b/c it was back then that they decided they didn’t give two fucks about any of it anymore.

I still remember being disappointed in 'their' Red Wedding anyway.  Their gutting of loyal Northerners even that far back showed through.  Their bad case of Lannisteritis gutted the Stark forces more than any RW of their making ever did.  Assholes!!  Ughhhhhhhhhh  Thank heavens for the actors, Richard, Michelle, Maisie and Rory carried a lot of that episode beautifully.  Just imagine if it had half the heart of the book version.  Ughhhhhhhhhhh

Maybe them buying the DVD, seeing the episodes back-to-back (or just away from the hype) and exploring the other behind-the-scenes content finally woke them up. To which, I say, fantastic. The DVD boxset had its uses after all.

If I had to choose the lowest point of all in Season 8 it would be Tyrion's "evil men" speech, referencing Niemoller, and equating dead slavers and rapists to victims of the Holocaust (combined with all the Nazi imagery surrounding Daenerys).

What most of us thought we were seeing during Seasons 3 to 6 was

Slavers and rapists = evil men

Slaves = victims of evil men

Daenerys = someone who is standing up to the evil men on behalf of their victims

D & D retconned this at the end to:

Daenerys = evil woman

Slavers and rapists = victims of the evil woman

Freed slaves = dupes and accomplices of the evil woman

Kind of makes me angry really, just thinking about how clueless the writing was.

Arya massacres the entire family of Freys and we're supposed to cheer her on as she does it.

Dany crucifies some slavers, and that's supposed to be foreshadowing of her turning evil, just because they threw in a line where Barristan tells her that mercy sometimes works?

I mean, they were frigging slavers. Surely if anyone needed a lecture on mercy it was Arya, who stabs people left, right and centre, yet gets to become Dora the Explorer at the end.

Not to mention they removed one of the meatiest female roles from the show (Arianna Martell). Think of how many actresses would have loved to play a role like that. Instead we got the ninja turtles.

One could just as easily say of the Starks (and Tyrion himself for that matter) "everywhere they go, evil men die and we cheer them for it".

Most of the audience cheered when Ramsay was turned into dog food, LF got his throat cut, Arya made her Frey Bentos pie and then poisoned the rest of the family,  Olly got hanged,  Slynt got beheaded, Tywin got shot through the bowels, etc. But, we're supposed to weep and wail over slavers and rapists?

Removing Arianne and fAegon was a massive error.  The roles had to be redistributed among other characters in ways that did not make sense.
