How much does Jaime know about the sack of Winterfell?

I know the official story is that Theon sacked the city and Ramsay came to the rescue. But given Jaime's knowledge about handing Ramsay a fake Arya and calling it out on being a load of bull in dialogue to Brienne, does he also know that Ramsay actually sacked the castle? Or is the lie of the Boltons the version that even the Lannisters got?

I think he believes the official narrative, it's not clear if Tywin even knows the real story. Tywin tells Tyrion that the Ironmen sacked Winterfell. When Jaime returns Tywin doesn't mention the sack of Winterfell one way or another, and he doesn't seem to know much about the Boltons and their involvement. He comments that he heard about Jaime's "escape" through Varys, but then confusingly also says Lord Bolton made it seem like Jaime would have been back in time for the wedding.

I don't think Tywin cared much, one way or another. He wasn't like to look too deeply into it, one way or another.

@Ran Do we know how Minisa Whent was related to Oswell Whent? They did live in the same era after all.

Don't know. George once clarified that Shella was the mother of the maiden daughter who had the tourney at Harrenhal allegedly thrown in her honor, and Oswell was Lord Whent's brother, Lady Shella's brother-in-law, and the fair maid's uncle... but he did not clarify who Minisa was.

That said, it seems hard not to suppose that she was sister to Oswell and Lord Whent. But that is just an educated guess.

Maybe this is more of a fantasy thing, but the royal family resides permanently in one castle in ASOIAF, the Red Keep. Was there any kingdom in our world where the royal family had a permanent home like that?

1) If you count Dragonstone and Summerhall, the Red Keep is not really a single/permanent home.

2) Given the overly martial nature of Westeros, it kind of makes sense, to simplify the story.

Robert sends "his own maester" to treat Barristan after Rubyford. Cressen is his maester ever since childhood and was at Storm's End. It's an oversight, really, but the idea is fun considering there are so many theories with no proper basis at all.

Couldn't Cressen have been at Robert's side during the rebellion?
