Er, have you been living under a rock? This is frequently brought up both on this forum and the wider media

It does. But people still seem perplexed/irrate/despairing at the lack of an effective opposition from the opposition party. It can't come from them with Corbyn in charge.

Yeah exactly, some still seem to expect him to ride in and save the day, but he’s probably a harder Brexiteer than most Tories ( other than some daft ideas about customs unions). He isn’t just trying to appease some northern voters is what I’m getting at.

Expect?  Nope.  vainly wish he would do his job and oppose things, give up on his red unicorn customs deal and actually back a 2nd ref as  per what was agreed at his party conference.  Or maybe just step down and let someone else who is willing to do the job actually do it.

Its more like we are venting frustration, than anything else.

So, does anything need to happen to prevent Brexit this Friday?  Is it just that Parliament/May need to request more time (something they certainly will?)  Or is it more complicated than that?

Secondary legislation has been tabled to change the date, but that's apparently a formality.

She also said this:

'Unless the House agrees to it, No Deal will not happen.'

At the same time, she said she would not accept any votes that'd go against the manifesto they were elected on. And she also dismissed a CU outcome.

GL squaring that one.

Meanwhile, the EU's working assumption is no deal on April 12th.

But let's disect her unless the house agrees to it bit. In May's logic (judging by what've seen thus far from her) it's gonna be, if the house rejects my deal, they tacitly agree to no deal happening.

It doesn't really matter what she says she will or will not accept. She is no longer in charge. Of anything.

Well...
So no deal won't happen without parliamentary approval, and is still the default absent parliamentary approval...
We'll get indicative votes (on Wednesday?), but any indications will be ignored by government... Lucky were taking back control isn't it!
IF we get a second referendum, the result will be ignored (unless it agrees with Theresa)...

Oh yes, she still believes in what she said on Wednesday evening

Parliament faces a simple and inescapable choice. A severe painful illness with Theresa's Deal, or the economic suicide of no-deal.

In other words, no deal it is.

I still favour the Germany+ options, even though it's unlikely
