Pontius Pilate
A new species of tiny stature human species was found in SE Asia. The description of height is what I have in mind for the rats at the House Of The Undying.

Do you want to talk about the HOTU visions with the dwarves? Or did you just want to point out how you think that they're similar to the CotF? This may be better suited for the general chatter section.

Platypus Rex
Well, "homo florensiensi" was nicknamed "hobbits" in honor of Tolkien so I guess now it's GRRM's turn. Problem is, unless I missed something, Pyat Pree and his friends don't really have a name for their kind.

The Nephilim. The chapter on the House of the Undying was written before this discovery came to light. George Martin's servitors were all completely made up. I don't believe anything in the real world inspired him. Well maybe the Morlocks in the Time Machine.
