It would be the most UNBELIEVABLE thing to have Sansa head over heels for Dany. Somehow people forget that even Jon had issues with her when he met Dany at Dragonstone in Season 7. He needed some time, so does Sansa... But it seems that fandom is not that forgiving.

Yeah but Jon fights with a sword, so he can say whatever he wants.

The problem is that both Jon and Sansa are right, and neither of them are good at explaining, persuading or listening to each other. Same shit as last season. They just loudly state their opinions at each other over and over again.

I will say that Jon was elected King, and part of that is because they trusted him to do the right thing by them. He comes back with a Queen and no one wants to hear why this guy they trusted completely thought it was the right thing to do. Jon doesn't tell them that he refused to bend the knee until he saw that Dany was committed to the fight in the North. He lets Sansa goad him with 'did you bend the knee because you trust her or because you love her?'  (or whatever)  He just stares at her instead of saying he wouldn't love her if she hadn't earned his trust first. They both suck at communication and thus we get this bullshit drama.

Maybe it is an unpopular opinion but I like that there is some tension between Dany and Sansa, instead of Sansa blindly kissing Dany's butt cheecks as everyone else does. She has every right to distrust her and Dany ain't really doing anything to gain the trust of the North. She just acts arrogantly and says threats. At the same time, Jon was right when he told Arya that Sansa thinks she is the smartest one ever. Neither of the ladies is perfect.

I'd honestly prefer the tension to stay instead of the two ladies becoming besties (because at this moment basically everyone are best friends, which is kinda boring, only Cersei and Euron are on the "evil side" and far away) but it's true that there ain't much time for such things.

Sansa is still the idiot she has always been, without Dany and her armies, the North stands no chance against the Army of the Dead. Sansa, her family, her people, everyone in the North will die and get raised as Wghits as they stand no chance without her. And yet she has the nerve to show attitude to someone who brought 2 armies and 2 dragons to save their ungrateful asses. Ungrateful idiot.

Sansa is right. Not only for the logistics (hey someone thinks about it) but also Daenerys doesn't make her case.

The North needs Daenerys but Daenerys also needs the North. If the North is slaughtered by the AotD Daenerys can say goodbye to the Iron Throne, her realm is gone. Defending the North is her self interest.

This is why Jon bending the knee was so stupid. It makes no sense in any circunstance and it should have been solved immediately by a marriage proposal. She won't get a better husband (politically and personally) and integration a la Dorne would be fine for everyone.

Daenerys not only acts as entitled to the throne the North hates (both Targaryen and post-Targaryen) but is now also threatning the people in the North.

Like I said, she is doing no favour by defending the North as she can't allow the AotD to just walk into her realm (with or without the North).

No one in the North likes her because of this and all she does is threatning people and smirking as dragons fly over the city. She did nothing to deserve the allegiance of the North and is still irritated when they don't just roll over for her awesomeness.

And the logistics. During the show it makes no sense but now it makes even less. How can such a large army exist in the winter of a frozen area, specially when the only town supplied them is not prepared for such. They will die with or without the AotD but this is just some detail used to create antagonism between sassy cold Sansa and entitled awesomesauce Daenerys.

But then, without the North, the same fate awaits Dany (unless she flees to Essos) and she needs the North to help defeat Cersei.

The obvious offer to make Dany is that the North will support her claim to the Iron Throne against Cersei, in return for her recognising their independence.

Dany at least has options, flee to Essos. What options does the North have other than Dany saving them? NONE. Yet the ungrateful idiots don't realize that they are shunning their literal savior.

She has no option but to help them if she wants the Iron Throne.  She's not helping them out of altruism.  They need each other.

If she wants gratitude, she should buy a dog.

She doesn't need the North, the North is crippled and down to what 5-7k fighting men? She has more than 100k Dothrakhi alone, her dragons alone can bring North to its knees. As for Cersei, what the hell are 20k sell-swords going to do against a 110k army and 2 dragons? get slaughtered that's what.

Her problem is not the army of the North or Cersei's. If she doesn't help the North the AotD and the NK will crash her armies, enlarged by the north.

Something the Northerners should realize most of all, as without Dany and her armies, they are a day away from being slaughtered and raised as meat with zero hope.

It's one thing to have 100K men. It's quite another to feed and clothe them in a vast territory, particularly in a hostile enemy territory. And the Dothraki with their horses presents even a bigger logistical burden.

That said, whatever issues Sansa has with Jon and Dany, and she does have some legitimate concerns, probably should be handled in private rather than her being snarky in public. For whatever reason, they like to have Sansa or Sandra air out everyone's dirty laundry out in public. Probably not diplomatically a smart move.

I feel like that line that was cut off is significant, about Sansa respecting her or...

Jon doesn't get that its a threat.  They are making him dumb as a post for Dany

Jon bending the knee was a suprise to Dany. She was already committing. If or not North needs her or she needs North is irrelevant, because they would be in Winterfell anyway, even if Jon did not bend the knee.

Jon fights with his sword but definately thought with the other thing, at that point. In this episode he was back to his dummy self. I can't wait to see how the writers get him out of the mess of being King and having to tell that to his aunt.

Yup, Dany was coming to save the North regardless of whether or not it was pledged to back her for the Iron Throne.

It already has. It's called fake drama. And we are all going to pay dearly for it.

When I saw it, it reminded me of the Sansa Arya thing from last season. I don't want it to turn out the same... but it's going to..

The Sansa Dany feud is petty and ridiculous when they have bigger problems heading their way. They need to move on. Is Sansa holding what the mad king did against Dany? Because that's stupid. Dany even apologized to Jon on behalf of House Targaryen for something that happened before she was even born. Is she only upset that Jon bent the knee because it's not in the interest of the North? Also stupid considering they're at war. The fact is Dany took her cue from the way Sansa received her. Sansa made it clear that she wasn't welcomed there, a sentiment shared by the majority of the Northerners present, yet Dany is acting arrogant and entitled? I'm sorry but if i'm at a place where people clearly dislike me despite the fact that i've never done anything to them, I'd be cautious and withdrawn too. If the dragons make her feel safer then hell yes, smirk away. No one is saying Sansa should have brought out a feast or laid out the red carpet, but at least as the Lady of Winterfell she should have had more grace, a little less obvious hostility. They don't have to be best friends but they can be civil especially since they're supposed to be on the same side.

That being said I do think when the Army of the Dead arrives at Winterfell, everyone will be the best of friends since there will be no time for silly little rivalries :D

Without Dany, the AotD wouldn't be in Westeros. That's something everyone should know as well, don't you think? After all, the NK broke through the wall with one of her dragons. Opps. Which btw proves that the dragons are not much of an asset. If the NK wasn't so lazy, Dany would be without all dragons by now.

And do you not see the bigger picture here? Dany has to help no matter what, if she wants to survive that is. The NK wouldn't stop at Westeros (the BS about him just being after one person is nonsense). Since he brings the cold and Winter with him, eventually he will get to Essos as well. There is literally nowhere to go on the planet where the NK won't get you eventually. And his army will only grow bigger.

So can we stop acting as if Dany is this selfless person? At the very least she wants to survive, a selfish desire all people have. She can go south all she wants and leave the North to it's fate but 10s of thousands more will be added to the NK's army.

So the NK and the AotD wouldn’t have breached the Wall (that the Wildlings constantly got over/around) without Dany’s dragon, but they would have made it to Essos? Ok...
