The opening scene always represented past events. It got updated to cover the "birth of dragons" and "red wedding" as two very important historical events now. The Last Hearth wasn't a past event when the credits rolled, and what's going down under Winterfell and under the KL throne room are events yet to come. Yes, sorry. -- I meant the PICTURE RELIEFS in the rotating bronze bands of the intro. They very always representing past events as far as I remember.
