Kajjo Posted April 16, 2019 Share Posted April 16, 2019 The opening credits of S8E1 show: + bronze relief band: ice dragon destroying wall, birds either watching the scene (Bran warging) or crows (Nightwatch) fleeing from the wall + location: breached wall, ice travelling towards Last Hearth (and around pointing towards Winterfell). Last Hearth's motte has a spiral shape to it, so maybe some foreshadowing + location: Winterfell, with weirwood, with inside views of crypts, hall + bronze relief band: red wedding scene with lion (Lannister) eating a trout (Tully), dead wolf in the Frey's Twins, Bolton's Flaying Man holding up a direwolf's head + location: King's landing, with inside views of crypts, hall, throne, Cersei's painted floor map + bronze relief band: comet, three baby dragons, one adult dragon (Daenerys as mother of dragons) + circle band with the four well-known animals representing the four major houses So I guess that means we see only three locations in the whole season: Last Hearth, Winterfell and King's Landing (outside, crypts, hall). We already seen all three. The Crypts of Winterfell are shown so intensively, they will be very important. Do you think S8E2 will have a different intro? Will they evolve? Euron III Greyjoy Posted April 16, 2019 Share Posted April 16, 2019 I doubt we will see Last Hearth again, but outside of that where else besides Winterfell and Kings Landing would we see. The show has made it so these two locations are pretty much the only important places. Assuming there is going to be some sort of Kings Landing battle, we might see them travelling through the Riverlands, but even that might not happen since they would probably take a ship to Kings Landing in order to make Euron Greyjoy an actual threat. Maybe there could be some Iron islands or maesters in Oldtown or desaster in Deepwood Motte... but I agree, I reckon they will focus on Winterfell and King's Landing. And yes, I think the intro will be different in episode 2. I don't think we will see Last Hearth again, but we will see the ice moving towards Winterfell.
