Tyrion talks

Recommended Posts

Tyrion is returning back to a more interesting character, and the one who knows a lot. Sir Jorah is to thank for making Dany see his importance.

Tyrion talks with Jamie, who says that Tyrion going back to his whore mongering days are still an option for him. Tyrion says, it's not. "Things would be easier if it were."

Has he just grown out of it or is he in love with Dany?

Also, Tyrion talking with Bran, the whole long story, how Bran became Bran. Surely Bran tells Tyrion how he fell from the tower.

I think tyrion has matured. Going back to a senseless pimp isnt an option when you have important responsibilities now. When you can help change and save the world is a better title than a rich porn star. He's not in love with Danny, but her vision. And he hates his old self of being a selfish rich pimp.

I think that he is trying to imply that the old world of his "whoremongering" days is long gone and there is no going back to it. Not just him but all the characters. What happened in the last 7 seasons made damage beyond repair, everyone changed too much.

Tyrion needs to show us something soon.  As this episode reminded us, he has made a series of bad calls.  Hopefully, something from his Bran talk will trigger an old school Tyrion masterstroke.

Like when Sansa said "I used to think you were the cleverest man in the world". I used to think so too, but last season he just screwed up over and over.

Something I've been wondering, does anyone think he believed Cersei because he wanted to believe her?  Even with her supposedly being pregnant, it seems with their history, he should not have been so easily deceived.

Being a drunken whore monger is no longer an option for Tyrion because he has grown. Remember, he & Jaime toasted "to the perils of self betterment?" Also, he has loved, truly loved. He has only visited a brothel once since he left KL (at least that we're shown).

Don't forget, Tyrion loved Shae and thought she loved him too. When she testified against him it broke his heart. Then to find her in his fathers bed it just ripped him apart. So him going to the brothel on the way to Dany showed us how much Shae hurt him. He can't do it anymore.

Perfectly explained. This is the way I understood it, too.
