Could you have predicted ADWD events?

OP

I could have predicted the general tone and path of Danny’s arc as it directly follows on from her last few chapters in ASOS when she finds herself alone in a strange city after exiling Jorah.

Tyrion and the Martells going to join her, saw that coming at the end of ASOS.

Motivated by another thread of prevailing theories before ADWD, I would like to ask whether you could have predicted some of most important events in ADWD with the other four books at hands (and whatever material was available).

Yes, most of us read the books after the release of ADWD, so please be honest with yourself.

For example,

- I could have seen (after much discussion) Dany and Jon failing as rulers, other events would have been more difficult to predict. In case of Dany, for example, the raising coalition against her.

- Tyrion reaching Dany, yes, that I could have seen.

- I certainly could not have foreseen Theon's arc in ADWD.

- Despite all the clues were there, I could not have seen Aegon, and please notice, Aegon is not a twist, he was "there" from book 1.

What does it tell us for TWOW?

Theon has more than nine lives and he spent it all.  He's still alive because his is the role of redemption.  I don't know how but he will redeem himself.  Tyrion is an example of a plan going sideways.  Illyrio sent him to the Bay to serve Queen Daenerys but his thirst for revenge takes him on a different path.  He will go to Westeros with his new company of mercenaries without any help from Daenerys.  He will get roasted if he is one of the treasons.

Aegon brings the Blackfyres back into the story even if he is not.  People will question whether he is and that will become a big part of the story.  Aegon took Jon's place in the plot.  He's the replacement.  I don't think Jon is coming back.

Tales of DE invested too much time in the Blackfyres for them to have no part in this game.  Even dead they still cause trouble.

I did not foresee Jon's stabbing but I knew he would do something stupid.  This harkens back to the day they found the dogs and the stag.  The stag and the wolf together bring both families down.  Jon's midnight escape as early as Game of Thrones should have set off the alarms in the reader's head.  I expected he was going to break his vows and desert the Wall.

I don't rightly know what it means for the next book.  It's entertaining to guess.  I don't see the harm in it.

I started to read ASOIAF when all five books were already out, so there was no need to predict anything. But one thing, that I had figured out about later plot, after chapter Dany IX in AGOT, is that Dany will return to Dothraki, because, most likely, it was them, who kidnapped her baby, so to reunite with Rhaego eventually she will have to revisit Dothraki. Though the reunion hasn't happened by the end of ADWD, so for now it's a prediction for TWOW, but I knew since AGOT, that it will happen (going back to Dothraki, and then reuniting with Rhaego).
